I've made like 5 headbands in a day with a wire in them. First piece of apparel I've ever sewn on my machine and it was flawless!!!! Made a great bday gift for my rockabilly friend's birthday. Thanks so much ♡♡♡
I would love to add wire as well, but as I am living in a very wet country I am scared of the wire rusting and creating stains. Any tips on how to avoid that?
Wow, what a perfect tutorial from start to finish! 🤗Thanks for showing your exact measurements and how you turn the fabric right side out. That can be very tricky! 💕
This is great because my problem is everything I wear including headbands has to be 100% cotton, any touch of nylon, polyester, spandex, including elastic (I have found 100% cotton elastic) any synthetic material, I'm allergic to and it affects my nervous system. I'm going to try this, but headbands tend to not stay, they slip back until they're off, how do I fix them so they won't do that?
The white transparent fabric at 01:12 is interfacing. In most cases, it adds a little extra structure or stability. In this case, I'm really only using it to keep the knit fabric I'm using from stretching. (This tutorial works best with woven fabrics, but I really liked the print of the floral knit.)
I don't make much stuff for kids, and I haven't tested this myself, but... the adult size measures a total of 38.5". The average adult female head is about 22", which leaves 16.5" for the ties. So I'd say measure your kiddo's head and then add 16.5". (I looked up the head circumference for kids and got about 19". So 19" + 16.5" = 35.5") Final tip: After you've cut and sewn together the two strips of fabric - but BEFORE you turn it right sides out - I would do a test fitting, if you can. There's a chance that you'll want to shorten the ties just a bit to account for the smaller size.

Danger is my middle name. If the pins are arranged perpendicular to the seam, you can pretty much sew right over them. It's much faster than removing the pins one-by-one as you sew. That being said: Yes, I have hit pins with the needle before. XD

Another dude, I made one for my wife and it looks great. Thanks!
Thank you for being to the point, informative, and easy to follow!

What was the seam allowance that you chose for your Rosie head wrap?
I used a 1/4" seam allowance so I wouldn't have to trim as much at the end.
Thank you
love this! and your channel!!
I love it!!!!!!!!!

I always use a couple bobbypins at the back of my head to fix the headband
Justelle's Life To avoid them from slipping, I like to put squiggly lines made of hot glue on the side that doesn't show
What is the purpose of the white transparent "fabric" she use?

what size would you do for kids about 23/25ins of fabric x
im 8 and my head is 56-57 cms if that helps (=
Kids after the age of 5-6 yrs have the same size head as most adults.
Thanks
How long do you want it for a child around 7?

A good problem to have! Lol My husband was all excited to see a female in his welding class.
Please make more videos!
But I don't have sewing machine 😭❤❤❤❤😬
I will still give a try
You can hand sew it. It'll just take a little longer.
😉
Did she...sew across a needle? Isn't that dangerous?

You need to slow down with your talking its hard to understand when you talk to fast
I'll slow down when I'm dead, Sharyn.
