Just got done replacing the original door speakers with the JBL stage 3 16,5cm and they fit perfectly and I can roll the windows all the way down. Used the old wiring arrangemend and soldered the ends to the new speakers. Thank's for the video!
Do you know if you have to replace the audio cross-overs?
@@wzon1260 no, it's just two simple wires. Just gotta keep track of what goes where. They are color coded so it's quite simple.
Wait what? I didn't know that some models came with in-door speakers. My Pug had 2 dinky factory speakers on the dash and they called it a sound system.
I didn’t know either it’s odd same my dads delivery 107 has speakers only 2 on the dash
My 2009 aygo which is an automatic, is somehow the maxxed out version. Front and door speakers plus airbags in the driver and passenger seat and rear airbags.
So what is the mouting depth? I might buy that car, and i already have my big speakers i wanna put in it
For some reason, ours has 2 speakers in the dashboard ánd 2 speakers in the rear doors. I can't find anything about how to replace those, but i'm just going to try it with these instructions and see how far i'll come.
What is the maximum depth of the speaker you installed in the door mate?
does anyone know?
@flymrpie1 it will be around 50mm. Dont exceed 55mm
When you have to use motorway services to make youtube videos
Thanks for the video.. do you have a video showing us how to upgrade the two dash speakers on my 107? I had a quick look. It has four connections instead the two on the new speaker.. can you advice?
Never had a job booked in for the dash speakers sorry.
With the four spade connections on the new speakers you just use one per side + & -
Just disolder the old wires and transfer them on the new ones. your welcome for the hassle
Johnny Mamo Can you explain What you mean? I want to change the speakers But i dont want to Cut the original connector off.
i have a Citroen c1 2005 but mine has no speakers on the doors, can i make like this one on my car?
Used the same speakers on my 2011 Aygo and now the window wont roll all the way down, not something that bothers me much but something to note for other people with Aygo's.
That's strange,no problems with window hitting the speaker on this customers car,you could try spacing the speaker out slightly by packing some washers behind the mounting screws.
L'aimant du haut parleur est trop epais et empêche la vitre de descendre au maximum. 😊
I have been looking all over the internet on the speaker size for the front speakers. The problem is that in my Pug 107, there's no speakers in the doors, but in the dashboard near the front glass panel. I would love to know if you knew by any chance, what those speaker sizes were, before I start unplugging everything?
In the dashboard are 100mm speakers, the doorboards look like 165mm but I have to cut the doorboards to place in some.

Amazing video! Thanks for sharing. Worked great for me. If it helps someone else, i did it in my toyota aygo 2014 and I used:
Speakers:
Pioneer TS-G1720F 17cm 6.3/4 inch 2-Way Coaxial Car Speakers 600W Total 300w
Connectors/Adaptor:
Connects2 CT55-TY01 Speaker Loom adaptor for Toyota Aygo 2005>
Followed this. Thanks!
Thank you so much ,had a problem with the electric window on my 107 peugeot 😊
My dad his Peugeot doesn't have door speakers like yours. Where they aftermarket
Nah this is the facelifted model which impliment the door speakers
After 2012 model's
What is the name of the new speakers ?
I don't think the citroen c1 2013 has any crossover so it's not important how u connect the cables. "I THINK".
Maximum speaker depth? I don't want to buy any that would be too big 😂
2004???? the first c1's, aygo's and 107's were built in 2005......
What size is that speaker ?
how long is the speaker in cm ?
Hey man, bit late to the party But great video!
I've bougt myself a pair of JBL stage3 627 speakers to fit in my 2010 aygo Doors.
However, i'd like to be able to use the grills that come with the actual speaker, as mine are a bit worn down.. Is it possible to remove the old ones?
I hope you're still actieve and can answer my question
Hi, did you manage to figure this out?
Im currently in the exact same position
Update needed. Im trying to do this at the moment.
Is it possible to fit the original cable and connector on the new speakers?
Fantastic video! Thanks, PJ. Followed it to the letter, using the same speakers. And I’m awful at DIY! Very happy, but not sure if I should disconnect the dash tweeters? And if so, how do you do it? 🤔
Won't hurt to leave them connected, you may need to turn the treble down a bit.
PJs projects Cheers, PJ
sorry to be so offtopic but does someone know of a tool to log back into an instagram account??
I was stupid forgot my login password. I love any help you can give me!
@Jaxton Jase instablaster =)
@Willie Zayn Thanks so much for your reply. I found the site through google and I'm in the hacking process now.
Seems to take a while so I will get back to you later with my results.
What happens if I change the speakers at the front but not in the door
Certainly won’t cause any problems.
Hi, Im upgrading from manual to power windows on 2010 C1 bought door harnesses from breakers, connectors are there for switches and regulators, however loose ends otherwise, assuming the 7 branched cable loom is for remote locks + speakers on one harness and 4 branched cables on other side is same , which colours are for the windows, Thanks.
Unfortunately while not being able to work I can't access the wiring diagrams for any car,but if you could get a Haynes manual that will show exactly what colour does what.
Hi all, would anyone know what's the power output for the original door speakers please? Thanks in advance
8watts rms, please note a lot of the time the speaker shows the peak power output.
@@PJsprojects thanks! 8watts is really nothing vs current 70W rms on the market. I bet you noticed a huge difference? Greate video btw, loved it.
@@PJsprojects one more Q, i got tweeters at the dash and the larger speakers on doors. Wondering whether it's worth to replace all 4. In other words, would it make a bigger improvement replacing tweeters or speakers? Hope I'm making sense. Thanks
@@carikower I’m trade so didn’t really get to listen very much but most aftermarket head units are only around 8-10watts rms per channel.
It’s a case of ignore the big power number stickers on everything. Some 60-70watt peak power speakers will work well with a typical 4x25 watt aftermarket head unit.
@@carikower no not much difference
Thanks mate, went to Halfords today, they only do pioneer speakers in the 16.5cm that I need for my Toyota aygo 2014. £45 plus an extra £6 for crimp connectors, and £20 for tweeters. She went into the back to check stock and found an old brand they use to sell called ‘edge’ two 16.5cm speakers and 10cm tweeters for £30. Decided against crimp connectors, cut the oem clips from the standard speaker and soldered the new speakers straight to the connection points. They’re absolutely brilliant. I am having trouble trying to find a walk through video on how to install the tweeters as I have 0 experience in the electronic department. Should I do the same with the tweeters? Disconnect the oem ones and solder the new ones on? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks again
Yes that will work fine. Your old tweeters will have a filter at some point in the cable so only high frequency sounds will go to them.
So the size of the speakers in the door is 16.5 ?
@@gentlemandem6310yes😉
Is it alot different if the speakers are located in the rear doors?
Not really tbh, same sort of fixings on the rear doors.
backdoor speaker are only 10 cm (4")
7:39 - I am looking to install some speakers into my Peugeot 107 and I would like to avoid snipping any cables where possible. I have bought a Connects2 CT55-PE01 Car Speaker Adaptor Harness Wiring Connectors for Peugeot, is this correct? Or will I have to buy bullet connectors? Many thanks
They look correct, saves chopping the cables.
@fizzytango did this adapter cable work out?
@@PIN0FUL yes worked perfectly! Shame I wrote off the car I installed them in LOL
What speakers did you use? please
The speakers are 13cm and the Fli ones used are made by Vibe
PJs projects Thank you so much
PJs projects Sorry if it sounds dumb but I can only find Fli and vibe not fli made by vibe could you give a link,I have been looking on Halfords site and there is 13cm Fli on there but not made by vibe I think
Thanks
You have the right ones,Vibe do not advertise the fact that Fli is owned by them.
PJs projects cool Thanks alot, I am going to upgrade this weekend
Had you changed the tweeters in the dashboard if so what did you do about the white 4 pin connector that goes into the old ones?
Not this time no,the new door speakers going in this car were co-ax and so the dash tweeters were simply disconnected.
PJs projects did that not stop your door speakers working when you disconnected the tweeters?. Thanks
No not at all, the chap that owned this car was not bothered about the dash tweeters but in the past I have done others where the tweeter was either connected or upgraded,it just depends if you think it's worth it.
PJs projects I have upgraded tweeters to install but the old ones have there own 4 pin white connector, the new tweeters only have normal spade connections like the flis in your video. Cheers.
You could either solder to the wires just before the white block or if your not worried about needing the block just chop them off and bullet connect the wires to the new tweeters.
What are the dimensions of the speakers ? And do you have any tips for speakers?
The speakers are 13cm and the Fli ones used are made by Vibe who are well respected in the car audio world.
in the comments you say 13cm but at the end u say 6inch? just want to clarify they are 13cm. also i have a toyota aygo and the door looks identical to this, is it safe to say they are identical?
Opps, yep they are indeed 6" or 16.5cm speakers sorry for the error at the start. The Aygo is built of the same platform as the C3 so it should be pretty much the same although it's not a model I have changed the speakers on so just take your time. Good luck.
PJs projects Hi there, do you know the maximum depth for speaker in door. Was there much space behind the fli 6? Thanks
The max I would advise is 9cm,this leaves a small gap when the window is down. The Fli 6 in the video was pretty close tbh.
Where do you got the conection cabels for the speakers?
Places like Amazon,Ebay or car shops. Example - www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Citroen-C1-Peugeot-107-Toyota-Aygo-Speaker-Adaptor-Lead-Cable-Loom-Plug-Pair/250514656577?hash=item3a53d64d41:g:7H0AAOSwFqJWn6sp
