Unpopular opinion: That little Blacktip would be an amazing catch for me. Beautiful animals. Sharks can be a pain to be sure, but the constant hate gets old. As bad as the "big bad wolf" mentality. We are the apex predators in most situations, I'll never begrudge the other predators. They are hunting to survive, we're just hunting for the tradition and enjoyment. That last Rooster was a shitshow, Murphy wanted him to lose that fish bad. He DEFINITELY deserved that one!!
We don’t hate sharks at all. But people don’t pay money and travel all the way there to catch a shark they could easily catch in the States, so it’s always a disappointment
Most of the fish we catch you would not want to net from a kayak. They are violent and strong. We give them spear gaffs so they can stab them in the head to hopefully dispatch them. We use nets for the baits we catch sometimes, but I’ve never heard of anyone on earth netting a tuna. They’d go nuts
