You earn almost nothing from TV rights, sell muc fewer tickets and next to nothing merch, you do not generate any money to pay players. And while i dont think he said it maliciously, (because I’m a huge fan of his and I’ve seen almost everything he’s ever posted online which, in my opinion, exudes acceptance and inclusion of all people of color, race, sexual orientation, religion, etc) the connotations that the word immigrant when directed at someone of Latin/Hispanic descent is usually negative and derogatory and i would hate if that inaccurate information was spread. It’s very triggering for a lot of us, especially those who have been bullied and spoken down to because of the way we look. i cant tell you how many times I’ve been called an immigrant and told to mow a lawn, even by patients when I was in med school doing my emergency medicine rotation in the ER.
