If you want to go progressive on the linkage use the rear carb as the primary. That way your primary opening is in the middle of the intake. As long as everything is open at wide open throttle you are set up pretty well.

If running progressive wouldn't one use the rear carb primaries as the master and the front carb as the slave?
Well speaking of 3 stage progressive, you can cruise on the more centrally located primaries of the rear carb (and get better fuel distribution), then pull the front barrels of the front carb and then all the secondaries together. Isn't that how a Street Hemi was set up by the factory?
I do get that this manifold is not a factory manifold and the motor is larger so 3 stage mightn't be the best.

what is the largest cfm carb you can use on the edelbrock 7585 manifold and how do I set up the fuel and get the front carb 2 rear and rear carb 2 front to be the primary and set the front carb 2 front and rear carb 2 rear ports to be the secondary. I'm doing this to a truck for low end.
