Our work is founded on the basis of two unique investing approaches: the principles of the Austrian School of Economics and the ESG principles of Market Environmentalism. More on this to follow. We emphasize a dual mandate of both targeting outperforming portfolio returns and also helping society and the environment at the same time.
Always a pleasure listening to Alex. A real all-round humanist.
Former "Hedge fund manager" doesn't sound humanistic to me. Market analysis is a stone-cold business. And since Markets are exploited for profit, usually the colder the calculation, the "better". I am not crapping on Krainer here. The more you allow for the "unthinkable" to have a space in your considerations, the better prepared you are.
Great guest, sharp analysis!
richard great job i am impressed with the improvement of your podcast skills keep up the great work love how you let your guests speak it shows the weaknesses in their thoughts and the strengths inflation is money printing so deflation can wait another day
Love Alex.
Very good chanel! Just discovered you. Yes the audio was bad but keep it coming.
Love the debates as well!

Alex can be heard quite clearly.
@soniavadnjal7553 what??? Have u hear the same video as everyone on the comments?? Its filled with this static annoying mic noise...
@@soniavadnjal7553 not all of it, some the beginning is difficult.
Alex, how is the stock market considered a real asset when it’s so volatile and artificially inflated?
Bad audio but was able to watch/listen.
Remarkably pallid observations. Economics are up-shifting and down-shifting to look much more dynamic than a simple binary approach can explain. Lots of moving parts, going in multiple directions. Take commodities, for example, a big part of this discussion. They are good inflation hedges only if we assume the dollar stays as it is today, and all else remains stable. If currencies change dramatically for one reason or another, all bets are off. Same for bonds. And same for inflation. On the balance sheet issues, there is no guarantee that lowering government spending must cause DE-flation. Good leadership at the Treasury and Fed can mitigate a collapse. Again, to use the metaphor of driving an automobile here in Europe, there's something worthy about controlled shifting both uphill and downhill. Controlling spending is crucial for this new administration and, yes, the People can endure more inflation if they can see the light at the end of the tunnel. The other outlier our host and his guest skipped over in this discussion may be one of the most important: DE-Regulation of the economy. Set my people free is not only the battle cry for Moses; it will be the loudest mantra from Trump on day 1. Add in trade policies. Global economies are tied together and interdependent now. Reducing regulations in the USA will spill over to the world at large. The leveraging effect of this single move can resurrect the global economy, not only the West....There's much more floating around in my head after this broadcast, but something smelled too programmed for my tastes. For example, more Gold, silver in our portfolios? Really? Gold is the deadest metal I can imagine these days--I prefer 70s and 80s heavy metal bands to gold--the chances of a drop are far greater than a rise. Production of this metal increases yearly, and nobody is figuring in the proper supply/demand, etc...... It's an old chicken little story for the modern ages, but it doesn't wash. The pundits are making money selling this line to investors. Then, there's the REAL value of equities (after inflation). In fact, it doesn't look too shabby. Equities are definitely an asset worth exploring. And I believe selective analysis can yield some even better results than the passive indexing.... Inflation adjusted equities make commodities and metals look stodgy, by comparison. Take a look at a simple chart: www.gurufocus.com/economic_indicators/5860/inflation-adjusted-sp-500-index-price
Sound needs work.
Alex is normally great to listen to but your sound was terrible. Sounded like too much gain, lots of breakup. Great for guitars, not so much for voices!
Terrible sound from Richard's side.
There is a major strategic benefit for China in lifting the population of the Global South from abject poverty: they get out of the western monopsony, cannot be pushed around with foreign regulations and tariffs from the US and EU.
Horrible audio, I'm having to listen 10 minutes at a time.
Impossible to listen to 😢
Terrible audio,
