I was studying art history in college when I had a class with a teacher who was studying the European version of this kind of shell inlay technique and fell in love with it. The craftsmanship required is wild. Really cool to see such devoted artists who made it their own way.

It’s SUCH a difficult thing to put into words! Even explaining every part doesn’t quite do it justice so it was mind blowing to see these artists implement it all in this way 🔥🔥🔥

Thanks for your support of other artists. You are becoming a better narrator and the complete explanation is a.plus on the understanding of the simple things that we grow up around. The inlay and lacqueing technique is over looked and assumed as simple but is laborious and an art unto itself. Thanks again for the video s.

Amazing seeing these Artists and their work featured again on RUclips. I really enjoyed the build of the GGBO instrument, but I had no idea of how intricate the whole design process was and how much of the traditional Korean woodworking influenced it until your video. Thank you very much!

I really enjoyed the coverage of these two incredibly talented young artists
. Are they a "couple" in the traditional sense? I love how they both took traditional methods and merged them to create a modern piece. The importance for me is on the traditional methods. So many cultural ways across our globe are being lost to time, so to see young people finding a way to create something modern (a work of art), using traditional methods that have been around for centuries just warms my heart. And it very unique and one of a kind pieces.

Thank you so much for appreciating this :-) These two particularly had my attention for a long time. They are a couple in the traditional sense. Many of the traditional methods are absolutely being lost so it was refreshing to see that they were upholding the old ways and implementing it into modern works!

It's nice to see actual innovation in instrument design. It's discouraging to see so many "custom" guitar builders just firing out overpriced versions of Strats and Teles.

I agree - I also found it extremely inspiring to see Najeonchilgi used on something other than traditional Korean furniture forms - Really fascinating how they fused these together with electric guitar forms 🔥🔥
