This is one of the results of putting a round peg in the right hole. The minister know his work beyond theories and he's very verse in engineering standards and procedures, no wonder Ebonyi state witnessed massive infrastructural development during his tenure as governor
This is the evidence that his excellency senator Dave Umahi is a minister of works that knows the job deeply, how to handle those contractors, efficiently & effectively working within the time frame etc......kudos to Mr President for insisting on the choice of Mr Dave Umahi to work for him in his cabinet
I like the aspect of showing Nigerians at work. Many more Nigerians should take advantage of all these constructions going on to get engaged instead of shouting, whinning, wailing, and sulking about unemployment, poverty, and impoverishment. Don't spend too much time on social media blaming the govt. Go and learn how to drive heavy equipment so as to be relevant in the infrastructural revolution that's going on in the country. Drop your phones and get your hands dirty to receive clean money.
Thank you for your statement. Construction trades are the most rewarding in the world today. You get paid highly and can start your own construction company after becoming well skilled in a particular discipline. You also get to teach others and transfer knowledge to them.
This is the first time I’m seeing Nigeria appoint someone with relevant expertise for the position. Umahi is truly delivering, and I believe he will accomplish even more, especially considering his impressive track record as the former governor of Ebonyi State. He is arguably the best governor Ebonyi Stae has had so far. Kudos to the hardworking Minister.
The Minister is doing something that the Site Engineer or the Project Manager should be responsible and provide daily reports for review by the back office in the Zonal district. all this drama for camera should not be encouraged by the TV Channels.
Some of us will just make comment and someone will wonder if there is a brain dysfunction or something else. A Minister was appointed to a Ministry of his core professional and academic sojourn and someone is still complaining why the Minister is getting his hands busy to ensure excellent workdone.
So you think there are no site engr & project manager? They have compromised themselves with d contractor. They are not doing there jobs and if you actually listen and watch another video by ozed, the minister said those engr & managers will be queried for not doing there jobs.
But what are the Southeastern govs doing with what they have now to prove that Biafra can overtake Dubai? If you look all over the east, you see dilapidated buildings, shoddy roads with no sidewalks and open sewers, poor to nonexistent waste management and no steady water supply. On top of that, a lot of the work done is awfully mediocre. What's worse is that when a governor mediocrely paves one road; everyone is jumping up and down singing his praises that "He's trying" and that their place looks like Dubai. If these governors of the SE can't do anything to transform their states now, what makes you think that Biafra would be any better? Also, the people are so used to awful leadership, they confuse mediocrity for excellence. With such a mentality I can't see how they can take any part in building a Dubai. It's quite sad.
Is very shameful that anytime the minister for works and the FCT minister visit a job site, 90% percent of the company's handling those jobs are foreign companies. Does this mean Nigeria has no indigenous construction company's?
I thought so too unless they’re being easily compromised which any one found wanting either playing with the quality of work or pace should be sent home
Pls our dedicated minister sir, visit benin sapele Road in Edo state as the contractors in the benin to ologbo axis are not on site . The people are suffering.
I have said it times without numbers that not until we use electrical engineer with relevant experience and incention mind to be power minister, Nigeria electricity will remain stagnant
If the contractors have no good record of performance, why did you give them the job? What's supposed to be the life span of the road when constructed? If all these were taken care of in the terms and conditions of the contractual agreement, then this drama is not necessary. You shouldn't be teaching them how to do their jobs. If they are not following the contractual agreement, then revoke the contract.
That’s the same contractor who constructed the Ibadan part of Lagos-Ibadan Expressway. They did an excellent job job there, the problem here is they are pressing for more money and the minister isn’t bulging.
Whenever you do the right thing, a positive impact is made, you can't have a bricklayer do the carpenter work, it will lead to disaster, we must learn on how to let people with the know-how to manage our affairs, kudus to you , honorable minister.
Thank you for sharing this good story. This contractors will not accept this in their own country. We hope to see many governors continue this trend. This is a commendable step in our country. 👏🏿👊🏿💪🏿🫶🏿🎉🥰
@henry5118 what do mean competence? Are you not watching the video. This oyibbo companies are also incompetent. Also Nigerians are building roads in other African countries. You are here talking about competence.
@@AbdulsalamOwolabi-oc2sp I agree with FCT minister but interior is not. Go to some borders you will. Cry for nigeria. The airport project is just noise. You will be shock when get to some ministries under is control
I get it, the president of Rwanda is saying, "Why are you guys coming from where you coming from. To dictate to us, you got your own internal hypocrisy and contradictions. If you know how to run my businesses. How come you don't Dictate to your people leaders first. Profound.
If this was being filmed by a random passerby, then I'd say kudos. However, this is Umahi's cameraman. A video filmed by Umahi's camera man on instruction from Umahi. The people supporting here, must not have had their land seized, home and or homes demolished. This road is not needed particularly as Tinubu has nor repaired most federal roads.
HE IS TALKING TOO MUCH..HOW DOES A WHOLE GOVERNMENT MAKE MONEY AVAILABLE AND CONTRACTORS DELAY THE WORK YET NO ONE HAS BEEN FIRED..THIS IS JUST A SHOW..UNTIL YOU START CONSEQUENCING PEOPLE THEY WILL NOT CHANGE AND YOU ONLY BE MAKING NOISE
Only fortuitously that the Minister has a background in such a subject. It is not a necessary condition for performance in the job. Reason why there are Departments in the Ministry peopled with professionals with the requisite. A Minister is essentially a Manager. Raji Fashola, a Lawyer, had no background in Engineering but did well in that function time back.
The work will not last before cracking. I give it next year for those who are clapping for him. Go to is state and see the job he does. All has already cracked. This is high way. It doesn't need concrete stamping
President Tinubu is known for thiis. putting round peg in the round hole right from his days as the governor of Lagos state.Kudos to you the minister and the president of the federal Republic of Nigeria
I think this is the first time in Nigeria we’re having a minister of works that knows about construction as in deeply rooted
Dave umahi is an engineer
I advise for safety reasons and to reflect professionalism, He should dress like an engineer while moving around construction sites.
A Fellow of Nigerian Society of Engineers too.

❤❤❤❤
Come to Ebonyi state and see that all the roads he did with concrete has collapsed
This is a hands-on minister in the right ministry. Kudos Hon. David Umahi.🦺🧤
We need more ministers like this.
Regardless of your ethnicity.
This is one of the results of putting a round peg in the right hole. The minister know his work beyond theories and he's very verse in engineering standards and procedures, no wonder Ebonyi state witnessed massive infrastructural development during his tenure as governor

These rookies should come to Texas and learn how to build concrete roads, and stop wasting Nigeria’s money on poor road construction.
Best Ministers Of work's Nigeria Ever Have. He knows is job
May God bless you dear minister Dave Umahi.....the working, effective & one of the best serving minister we have💪👏👍
Honorable minister of work (Dave Umahi ) keep it up almighty God will continue to bless you for your good job (amen and amen )

God bless you sir for your good advice

Lol
Uncle don vex 🤣🤣🤣. No, I'm not laughing 🤭 Sir. Hmmm 🤐🤐. You nailed it 💯. God bless you.
Dave Umahi is definitely the best minister of works Nigeria has had in a long time. Kudos to him!
Proud of u Engr Umahi. U actually work for your salary even though it's not enough. U only love what u do. Thanks
This is the first time I’m seeing Nigeria appoint someone with relevant expertise for the position.

Our Minister of Works .... Dave Umahi ✅💯
Who is the contractor? Please name and shame them!!! Nigerians deserve to know the truth!!!
He just said CCCEC
Did you not watch the report to the full?
The honourable minister of our time❤❤
The Minister is doing something that the Site Engineer or the Project Manager should be responsible and provide daily reports for review by the back office in the Zonal district. all this drama for camera should not be encouraged by the TV Channels.
You guys always complain for nothing. So as a minister when he comes to see the progress of the work, he cannot confirm things for himself?
Some of us will just make comment and someone will wonder if there is a brain dysfunction or something else.
A Minister was appointed to a Ministry of his core professional and academic sojourn and someone is still complaining why the Minister is getting his hands busy to ensure excellent workdone.
We are frowning against huge cost of governance. If the honorable minister can cover those posts without needing them is good.
So you think there are no site engr & project manager? They have compromised themselves with d contractor.
They are not doing there jobs and if you actually listen and watch another video by ozed, the minister said those engr & managers will be queried for not doing there jobs.
l am proud of u sir.
Who do anyhow will see how. Pls continue Sir 👌🏽👏🏽
It's good to see patriotic Nigeria working for the country's greatness.
Work minister is a great manager of man and resources 😄
If Igbos have their country, give them 10 years and Dubai will be small thing.
But what are the Southeastern govs doing with what they have now to prove that Biafra can overtake Dubai? Pretty impressed ngl... This is good optics
Nice follow up by Mr Minister. 😊
Meamwhile, spending so much on this Coaster Road, while other Federal Roads across the country are death trap 😢
Is very shameful that anytime the minister for works and the FCT minister visit a job site, 90% percent of the company's handling those jobs are foreign companies. Does this mean Nigeria has no indigenous construction company's?
The ones that exist don’t properly follow regulatory practices nor have the capital to handle such big projects.
Go and start your own... It no news that most Nigerian contractors aside craneburg are trash
As if you don't know that our own engineers are all quacks
Indigenous construction companies can also employ the job of foreigners as technocrats
Most Nigerian contractors can’t even erect a two storey building.
Our interest as Nigerians is for you guys to eliminate bad roads with good quality roads
So, don't we have monitoring officers from the ministry? What will be the consequence for them? Let's make organizational structures to work.
I thought so too unless they’re being easily compromised which any one found wanting either playing with the quality of work or pace should be sent home
They may be corrupt. NASS only invite the minister not state or regional coordinator
The best minister I have seen after Nasir El-rufai.
Wike too knows his job, even though he is a troublemaker.
😅😅😅😅😅😅
Let them come make Hi-Tech teach them how to construct concrete road.
But naysayers are calling Hitech Tinubu’s cronies.
We want good things but badmouthing those doing it. Don’t mind them o.
Pls our dedicated minister sir, visit benin sapele Road in Edo state as the contractors in the benin to ologbo axis are not on site . The people are suffering.
Kudos to you sir
Impressive ❤
The working minister of works🎉
Shortly ppl have forgotten about lagos to calabar road that was abandoned after closing down many business 😢😢😢
When last did you visit there? Serious construction is going on at 5 different locations. Very solid road going on there
I have said it times without numbers that not until we use electrical engineer with relevant experience and incention mind to be power minister, Nigeria electricity will remain stagnant

You have abandoned the Benin sapele Road
No contractors om site since last year July
Thank you for sharing this good story. This contractors will not accept this in their own country. We hope to see many governors continue this trend. This is a commendable step in our country. 👏🏿👊🏿💪🏿🫶🏿🎉🥰
Oyibo forget so soon that this governor is an engineer
This man is way better obi by miles
Why are they not giving contracts to Nigerians instead of foreigners?
It’s about competence.
@henry5118 what do mean competence? Are you not watching the video. This oyibbo companies are also incompetent. Also Nigerians are building roads in other African countries. You are here talking about competence.
Dave Umahi, the right peg in the right hole.
Dis is actually d best minister
One of the best. Minister in aviation too his doing his best
The Governor can also help state and reclaim their funds later
In fairness, i think it's better to say one of the best bcos many of them are really working like minister of aviation, interior, fct etc......
@@AbdulsalamOwolabi-oc2sp I agree with FCT minister but interior is not. Go to some borders you will. Cry for nigeria. The airport project is just noise. You will be shock when get to some ministries under is control
Great strides.
Good job Mr Umahi, you’re a man to be proud of but for the life of me I don’t know why you joined this rotten APC government.
I get it, the president of Rwanda is saying, "Why are you guys coming from where you coming from. To dictate to us, you got your own internal hypocrisy and contradictions. If you know how to run my businesses. How come you don't Dictate to your people leaders first. Profound.
Working Minister 👏
Check abuja to kogi road by rcc omo that road is embarrassing
Action man

Aba ikotepkene road the contractor is not doing a good job at all
name them @stephanthompson7723
😂 lamba arranged and staged …
Wahala!
How did they get the contract in the first place? Who are these people
Nigeria rulers always bring in our sliders to take n aija jobs from football coach to road constructions, to mining
Deception and eye service. Nothing has been done in every state, federal roads are bad everywhere.
Umahi trying to act tough 😂
HE IS TALKING TOO MUCH..HOW DOES A WHOLE GOVERNMENT MAKE MONEY AVAILABLE AND CONTRACTORS DELAY THE WORK YET NO ONE HAS BEEN FIRED..THIS IS JUST A SHOW..UNTIL YOU START CONSEQUENCING PEOPLE THEY WILL NOT CHANGE AND YOU ONLY BE MAKING NOISE
DID YOU NOT HEAR HIM MENTION NOTICES OF TERMINATION TO THE CONTRACTORS?

I have trust issues o
My opinion nio
Camera show
Senior Engineer
Aba-ikotekpene road the contractor is not doing well at all.
Silent worker.
Only on cameras they shown to fool the people
You don't know Umahi too well. Ask Ebonyi people, they will tell you.
Propaganda
Nigerians cant hire their own due to fraud. Get outsiders and still complain lol. You guys are too funny
Which company they want to hire in Nigeria
It was all a show, just to scam Nigerians that he's working 😅
Aba- ikotepkene road the contractor is not doing a good job at all.
