Just amazing what they created by hand.
Always enjoy just sitting and looking up at the details.

The opening footage of the church was breathtaking, if you can block out the noise of planes, you are transported back to when this church was new with worshipers coming in for mass. The shot of the Ramblers window with the light coming in at a angle was just beautiful. Thank you for your time, I will never be able to see these magnificent buildings in person and here in America there is nothing of that age.

Hi Allan! The entire house is "coloured" by a coat of ancient dignity that only time can produce. Even though the old village is long since gone, this great building stands as witness of both the people who built it, and testimony to the power of the One for which is was devoted. Thanks for taking us along.

As usual, so interesting and instructive. Without the commentary I would miss so much if I were to visit this church.
As a Canadian, I am constantly astonished by the age of so many of the buildings in these videos. The only thing we have to compare here is l'Anse-aux-Meadows, the barest vestiges of a Viking settlement in Newfoundland and Labrador. Then pretty much nothing until the seventeenth century, and not much of that either.
Also as a Canadian, I am much, much less fond of December: this is the entry into five months of frigid winter, including endless hours of shoveling snow (two metres of it annually on average here in Montreal). I love the month of May!

I have no idea Michael, it is a real problem and there doesn't seem to be a viable solution at present. About 1/4 of the churches in Lincolnshire are earmarked for closure as there is no congregation, another 1/4 are to become 'festival' churches only used maybe three or four times a year. It is dire.
