Hi Becky. I use Platinum Carbon Black ink in my Sailor Fude fountain pen. It is a waterproof ink and is available in a few different colours. Platinum Carbon Sepia may be similar in colour to the Noodlers Brown. Platinum Carbon inks are waterproof and safe to use with fountain pens.
I really enjoy watching you paint Becky and you capture your life so beautifully. Your sketch book is amazing, a true feast for your eyes, but all those food pictures look so great that they make me feel hungry.😊❤

This is so delightful, Becky, as I live o Vancouver Island I am familiar with Vancouver so I enjoy knowing of the areas you sketch. I love your illustrations and I think you could publish this as a book. I hope you do. I have shaky hands so my sketches are never as strong as yours. My lines are unavoidably wobbly. I loved seeing a Bunnykins mug in the early pages of your sketchbook.

It made me feel happy as well, and I thought to myself, I hope my face does the same when I open my paints. Hi Becky. I got some Bombay, sepia, India ink and its great. I use it with a dip pen and get great results. I had them for a long time and actually started using them in October. They have become my favorite supplies. Its a Speedball sketching pen set with 2 Penholders and 6 nibs. I highly recommend this pen and its less than $20 canadian.

There is a stationery store in Vancouver…Buchan’s Kerrisdale Stationery that carries Noodler’s Ink, specifically the waterproof Brown #41 you are looking for. Might be a good reason for a fun sketching trip!

Nice Sketchbook review! Love all the yummy food images the best, but DuDu runs a very close second. I use the R&K Sketch Ink Lily dark brown color in my Sailor Fude Pen. It's waterproof and dries nice and fast. Thanks for the tip on what to look out for with the Noodler's inks. Cheers! 😊
How do you stay so thin eating alll of that food? I just love your channel. Your sketches are amazing. Someday I hope to be half as good as you. I have yet to bring a sketch book outside with me, WHen I was a kid I used to cartoon people in a bar. My boyfriend at the time was in a band and every weekend we used to go to that bar where me and the other girlfriends sat. I would bring my sketch book and cartoon what I saw. I still have those and they were fun. They remain a great memory of days past. I would like to start frequenting coffee bars like you do and sit and draw. Maybe when I officially retire.
I didn't want to invest >$30 on the ink bottle + convertor for my Fude pen, so instead - I ordered some cartridges from Sailor with water-proof ink. It's probably not as cost effective, but easier for me to shell $6 at a time. :-) Thanks for the video.
Enjoyable video as always. After a long search of inks - I use Winsor and Newton Ink. Black Indian ink. I just bought the 14ml bottle and not a smudge in site! I use it with a dipping pen as I'm not sure if a fountain pen would be a good idea with this ink. Also - thanks for letting us know about the Noodlers Brown. I was going to treat myself to some so I'll be very aware when purchasing from Amazon Australia. Take care.
Becky, you might want to send that bottle back. Doesnt look like true Noodlers ink. Lots of resellers are selling knock offs . I use Noodlers 41 in my TWSBI. I love it so much!

Kia ora Becky. I also received the wrong Noodlers ink from Amazon. I returned it and they refunded. I had the same experience with another mail order company. I eventually got the correct #41 brown from a retailer on Ali Express. It’s annoying because deliveries to here, New Zealand, take so long.
I checked Noodler's website and they don't sell the inks directly. The ink I got from Amazon seems to be just a wrong brown. I just returned the wrong one and ordered again. Fingers crossed.

Could the new ink be counterfeit? Somebody using the Noodler's name, but not Noodler's? Can you buy directly from Noodlers?
