I never thought I'd hear ElDewrito again holy shit... so I was actually around that community and Julian you actually got most of the details correct, although by the time Microsoft found out about it the actual build was incredibly well constructed, like they had managed to port most of the Halo 3 stuff from the console version back into the game since it was all based on the same code. They even somehow got Forge working but because it was on PC they basically made it so people could go absolutely buck wild with it, adding whatever the fuck they wanted. It was kinda neat.. The reason they embarrassingly called it ElDewrito is because the codename and the name on the actual exe was 'eldorado' and that was used all over the code, so they decided to formally make it their own using gamer language. Sigh.

@bigbigtomer its a bit, they just opened the page from a file source: the address bar says the youtube url, but thats modified and the window name is "index.html" with a site editor open in the background.

Non NDA super high level I'm not a xbox dev just a guess, I'm an armchair. But yeah from what I know MS had a whole cpu core dedicated to kinect shenanigans on the xbox one. Later in the xbox ones life, they dropped that and opened the cpu core up for devs to use. So if your now using parts of this extra cpu core for your game, or the engine is just doing stuff there on that core now and you don't know. You would have to re-tool a bunch of the engine to now not use the extra core, and add back in the kinect support with the extra cpu core you now have back. You have to cut fat you didn't know you have, and summon a mystery demon into your game engine.
@@noodlefunnyin all fairness, sams mic does have some odd background noise. As he talks you can hear a sound that reminds me of the halo low-shield SFX. And while the audio doesn't peak or anything it can be a bit jarring with the audio being unnaturally loud for youtube video standards
