Hi mate, quick question. I also use HIAB (well HMF to be precise) and notice you don't knuckle the crane straight but rather use boom extension for reach. Why is that? Is it better that way?
Hi mate 👍, yes the HIAB does not like lifting with a straight crane, it locks out . There is a traffic light 🚥 sort of system on the control panel that indicates the optimal angle for the crane. I have just got used to it! I operated a hmf many years ago and the crane would lift at any angle!
Dont you grab the bags when unloading. It was the only way we used to do them when we had the top seat hiabs? I suppose H&S stops you doing it these days.
Alright mate, those seated hiabs were awesome 👍, I still see a few doing deliveries into our yard. Yeh we have always looped the bags on, we only grab them if we have to really, low trees etc….
Got to say the cranes always look fun to use would love a go one day 😂 but keep going brother
Thank you brother, yes it is a good job to be fair. Always out and about and always something different each day. Thanks for watching 👍
