My attention first went to the three dots on the orb and wondered which stars they might represent. I was also interested by the cross in the mouth area of the left version and the moth or bat shape below the mouth on the right version.
Not sure if you are familiar with Chris Bledsoe and his story but this painting is on the front cover of his book UFO of God. He has made mention of seeing those 3 dot patterns in the orbs he sees. Orbs making the patterns and the 3 dots inside some of the orbs so they are sending him a message. I think you are right about the stars and I think it comes from Leo. Chris has been visited by Hathor the devine feminine multiple times and she told Chris that a new age of wisdom will occur when Regulas (In Leo) alings with the sphinx at dawn. The staring directly across signifies a direct meeting with Christ, and a manner in which he would have healed. There is a stone over the heart chakra. And the belt is tied at the top of the might chakra. The woman has one at the crown chakra, not directectly over the third eye but making a triangle and she looks out the right eye. Jesus is seen the way leonardo would be, left- handed, and holding his paints in one and using the other as a stylus, mirrored like a self portrait, as Christ is found within. Probably exactly what Jesus looked like in His time, and perchance he visited Leonardo. Great image. Notice that Jesus has one tunic and one cowl, all in blue. He can hold the weight of the world and clear out any spiritual blockage with this and that. Jesus studied at the temples in Egypt both as a boy and as a young adult, both times alongside John. The most interesting component, to me, is the sphere being held so prominently as the other hand is making that important fixed gesture.
