Im a aatrox otp, i find glacial very sexy on aatrox with 2nd runetree the blue movespeed rune.
The thing is here that you make the combo always hit and make the enemyteam vurnable for follow ups from your team.

it’s insane how much really good fundamentals really can do for you. you didn’t do anything crazy in lane you just farmed well and managed waves and killed him on timers where he fucked up and position badly and then suddenly you had 2-3 items and were able to face tank everyone and kill them in 1 combo. it’s awesome seeing it all in like real time
I was wondering how ur mmr was so high in such a low rank, ur basically using high mmr accounts. They were rigged from the getgo, master player on the aram in one of the first games, really makes the mmr go through the roof. Played a ton with a diamond on the aram as well. Cause i've also had 80% winrate on 20 games but never had such an extremely high mmr. Desperate nasus does the same just more insane strats (uses duo in ranked). I finally managed to get an account similiar to how urs is now with 40lp gains and over one devision higher mmr (just not as extreme), it's rather based on luck and how high mmr is on the first promo game, but account got banned for "cheating" sadly, rest in peace. Only time i hit master was through this method sadly, and i faired quite well into them as well so i wasnt terrible in technical knowledge of how to manage waves and such, but i would never get to masters on my main without at least spamming 10 games a day with 66% winrate minimum. (master account also got banned for cheating... Rito hates me :/...)

Anyone else noticed, that Aatrox and Riven are extremely similar? Q has a couple of different phases, W is a CC ability, E is a dash and Ult kind of enhances your stats/ abilitys.
English isnt my 1st language and I havent played both champions at all so please dont fuck me in the comments :).
Similar but the gameplay feels very different. Aatrox feels more methodical and like a skill shot/position based champ. Riven feels more like a all in, burst champion. Riven is more flash ult plays with montage potential. Aatrox is drain tank I’ll 1v3 while barely losing health lol. With that in mind, Riven can be prone to shut downs if not played with anticipation and good reactions. Aatrox is more forgiving if found in a bad situation.
Oh and even their passive is an enhanced auto ability
Everyone turned aatrox into a meme after his rework, he used to be an onhit champion. We used to call him riven 2.0
They are completely different champions though, They don't even play the same.
Please buy boots btw, you keep dropping combos while not having boots due to the movespeed difference. Having boots but hitting a full combo does more damage than having dmg items and dropping the combo!!

If you still don't believe in fundamentals now then no wonder you're still in plat. When I first started I only played once a week 10 hrs. straight and the only fundamentals I knew by then is being consistent at csing, being an OTP and a very vague understanding of freezing my wave and I managed to get to dia while my friends who were better than me at micro were stuck in gold.
hello as an Aatrox main i'd like to share a combo, really good to hit all qs against ranges / meele that stay in range. So it goes E W Q1 walk on him Q2 passive Q3 AA. There's another version with R that goes like E W R Q1 walk Q2 passive Q3.
Now is why use this one. While you Q E you will take time to W, and while you do the ennemy will have a frame in which she'll be able to dodge your Q2 and escape W. If you E W Q1 your Q1 will bump him, making him take more time to walk out and un less he plays high MS champion (malph, heca...) or a dash he won't be able to escape. If you R you get more damages and omnivamp so only better. It's a 1v1 combo tho, so do it if you're chasing someone while you know you're alone, else you'll have no CD for the 2nd ennemy. You should watch at least 1 or 2 Naayil videos 'cuz he talks alot about Aatrox itemizations and his combos are pretty sick too. I'm sure you'll learn alot
Aatrox is not broken he is useless ASF play against malphite Yone akshan you will still loose

it would be cool to see some AP top laners, sometimes you need to pick ap, and if your the only ap it can put you in a good spot as a lot of players wont build resists vs 1 ap. maybe kennen or rumble.

Hey Alois! Thanks to your tips on wave management I'm nearing my current goal: Emerald. But I'm noticing that while I do keep jungle tracking in mind at the start, I end up focusing on my own gameplay so much that I forget to continue tracking. Do you have any tips to help me always be mindful of the jungler?

I think at first it may drain your energy a lot, but then time by time it becomes muscle memory.
There are timers where u can use as guidelines to where the jungler is. For example 4:15 he will likely be back at the side he started after he full cleared
I'm not sure if this works for League but I'm a semi top competitive player on a fighting game, and usually the best way to engrain a new thought/habit is to play multiple games where your SOLE GOAL/PURPOSE is to track jungle. Your gameplay WILL be worse, other aspects WILL suffer, but winning/losing isn't your objective, so if you lose badly then don't feel disheartened, you do not care. As long as you see improvements on your ability to track jungle, you're happy. (if you want do this in norms rather than ranked since it's easier and less stressful to ignore playing well for the sake of learning a new habit)

This champ really needs to be nerf his Q damage when you dont hit the edge. Every trade i make early in game, I usually am able to dodge his first Q damage, then get hit by Q2 but not the Sweetspot, then he W, Q3 (the Sweetspot part that deal critical damage) , Passive Aa and he wins the trade regardless of how bad he utilise the combo. I play Riven also so it’s a pain in the ass when her whole combo cannot even compete with Aatrox worst combo 😂. Anyways, if you get hit by the entire combo, Aatrox will just oneshot you lv4,5 without ignite. Compare to Darius, Shen, these champion require a lot of things in order to deal damage, meanwhile Aatrox 🤨

When they converted aatrox passive and w to magic dmg it makes cleaver worse as it only applies on ad dmg, grudge is way better as the slow is so powerful for aatrox
Would love to see you play jax and explain split pushing, it's my preferred playstyle and would appreciate some pointers on it
I mean split pushing is rather simple. You wanna avoid doing it when your team has 0 pressure on other sides of the map, if your team and enemy team is contesting dragon/baron you split push on the other side of the map to give the enemy team a choice: Either give up a tower or two, or give up obj. Because normally as a top laner you need a lot more than just 1 person to stop you, let's just say 2 people, it becomes a 4v3 at dragon/baron for your team giving them a numbers advantage. That's the ideal scenario. However, if your team has 0 pressure on the map (no team fights, no pushing lanes, no obj) you're extremely likely to run into a 1v4 and die while having benefited nothing. So basically, only split push when your team has pressure on other sides of the map, split push on the other side of obj, make the enemy team make a bad decision (either send multiple people after you and pray they win 3v4 obj or give up a couple towers, or give up obj completely).
In the last scenario, if they give up obj and send the whole avengers squad to kill you, you traded your life for an objective, which is super good.

I think that the push prio + early dive is the bread and butter of a good toplaner. It also shows if ur jungler is on par cause if the jungler is there aswell that noc isnt even getting this wave. With this play witch i 100% agree is worth for u, and even more against a mordekaiser, it makes ur jungler be so much behind unless he stole a camp or 2 while the enemy jungler soaked top wave.
Overall, as always, great advice, and very very excellent explanations even on how to combo stuff. Probably the best on youtube right now and i dont even think this is an exaggeration. There are other solid people giving advice but noone does it as methodically as you. Cheers

1 - Will you ever do a gangplank guide/tips and tricks and/or series as I am trying to learn him but he is very difficult champion to play
2 - Do you have any recommendations for gangplank guides, videos or youtubers for me to watch to get better at gangplank?
3 - When, Where and How should I use my ult as I often waste it by either A: Using it too early and doing very little damage to enemies B: I use it to try and kill a low HP opponent but he just runs away and recalls or C: I use it in the wrong place and Enemies just walk away during team fights
4 - Do you have any tips for doing 1V1's and team fights because I often just panic and start messing up my combos during the fight and die and during team fights I don't do contribute anything because I am trying to hit barrel combos
5 - How do I counter Renekton as playing against one is most always lost game for me
6 - How do I play if my team is feeding/behind because I lose alot of games due to enemy feeding someone and they just 1v9 the game

@@naerolf09 yeah you're right, he doesn't have anything as educational as alois. But when I was playing GP I thought his guide was helpful, just in case you haven't seen it. It's pretty old but still good I think. Good luck on learning GP, I gave up on that champion he's way too hard for me 😂

@@naerolf09 he has a couple of them from. This year called "the ultimate gang plank guide" or something like that. One of them is way longer than the other where he goes into specific matchups and combos and stuff and one is more refined just talking about runes and items
At 10:05 it’d be better to build seryldas, you are strong enough in comparison to the enemies that you can rely on omnivamp and goredrinker to keep you alive and you know they’ll build armor soon as there’s a lethality mf and strong aatrox (furthermore tear on ez guarantees frozen being built) cleaver isn’t an item on aatrox anymore as w and passive do magic so it takes 2 q cycles to fully stack and most die by then. Shojin is fine, but its main utility is survivability which is unnecessary in this situation and extra damage would be best to clear jg camps and roam better
Also into matchups like tank mord where you’ll be building more healthy, demolish is a very beneficial rune as aatrox doesn’t have great tower damage and you’ll stack a lot of health
