aw i do remember this cartoon when i was a kid and cupheads they give my memory of the old picnic cartoons back to my brain and i'm so happy again thank you cupheads.
I'd have to say that is definitely Molly in the Toonerville toon. Yet it's not in the filmographies I have seen, but I think Molly's reel should now be 7 cartoons not 6. Thanks for pointing that out, I'd seen the Toonerville Trolley but never noticed that was Molly.
LOVE 💕 this little cartoon! Got this on video many years ago and fell head over heels with the little kitten and his doggy friend in this video. Sooo cute and sweet. Wish they made videos like this now!
I could’ve sworn I saw a screenshot with two cups using finger guns and thought that must be where the finger guns in the game come from but it isn’t in here.
As you probably know, Steve Stanchfield has posted this rarity, and it’s the same cartoon complete with the original titles both opening and closing. This version has the later titles instead of the original, because it has “Technicolor” on it instead of Cinecolor when it was originally presented. The later titles came from around late 1935 through 1936 towards the end of the “Rainbow Parade” series. Thanks to Steve for finding this rare original version as it was first released. This was taken from the original 35mm theatrical print. If you have not seen it, here it is! ruclips.net/video/rv7uFm5rpkE/видео.html
Song was always a bop ❤️🔥. Currently searching RUclips watching all my fav old cartoons from my old dvds Molly moo cow & friends, Humpty Dumpty & friends. And currently trying to remember others 😂. I also love old mother Howard I think is the name. Little Audrey & Betty boop
Cuphead comes from an old Japanese propaganda cartoon were Micky Mouse attacks a South Seas island. Though maybe the Moldenhaurs saw this, and it influenced them as well.
Here we have Mr. Coffee Pot's earliest know work (1935), (un)fortunately, like the rest of the Rainbow Parade catalogue, he is now public domain. However, there was an additional monkey wrench thrown into the works in 1972, when Mr. Coffee, the first automatic drip coffee maker for the home was invented. To make a long story short, the couple had to be renamed Mr. & Mrs. Kettle; and 82 years after his original short, he found work again. Some indy video game in 2017 about a guy with the *_head_* of a *_cup_* or something? I forget the title. Anyhow, congratulations Elder Kettle! Here's to your next 82 years!
After "Parrrotville Post Office" there's this cartoon "A Picnic Panic" and to follow "Trolley Ahoy" in the video titled "Toonerville Cartoon Parade Hour"
They tried too hard to make the little one cute. I have never understood why they always tried to make kids look a couple of years younger than they actually were. It never works.
I very much believe that this is elder kettle’s inspiration
and you should that is where they got his inspiration
I as well.
been looking for this cartoon I have always had the song stuck in my head but didn't remember the title. thank you brings back memories :')
That poor cow. She wasn't hurting anyone. She just wanted to join in on the picnic.
Exactly, the cow doesn't hurt anyone because it just wants something to eat.
Her name is Molly Moo-Cow, btw.
Be glad she got her own cartoons after this. Even if it was just 5 of them.
When that little girl is smiling, I could swear it was Betty White. But Betty was already 12 or 13 when this cartoon came out.
I mean it might be? Animation takes time to make
I was thinking the same thing omg
Well, this explains where Elder Kettle comes from.
😀😀😀😀😀

I've never seen the whole live action part of this cartoon. Rare find.
Elder Kettle
Mhm totally agree
I've had a DVD with this on it for years and I am so shocked to know that the first minute is cut on the DVD.
Same here
The cow was Molly Moo Cow and this was her unnamed debut. She only made 6 cartoons, but they were very good toons. In the next 5 she was the star.
A Molly looking cow also appeared in _Toonerville Trolley_ ..

Wasn't Molly Moo Cow on every third episode of Arthur and friends?
Are you referring to Mary Moo Cow?
Maybe.
I love the colored chalk type of color they used for these toons.

I need to get a DVD collection of Van Beruen, and other old cartoons, these were good. Not like a lot of the slop of today.

This is Molly Moo-Cow’s debut, but was unnamed.
I’m still watching in the year 3000❤️ go figure😂
The youngest tot is soooo sweet bless her!! Sad, she's probably dead now!
Andrew Morrison probably true 😰
The youngest may actually be alive as she'd likely be in her 90s today, which isn't impossible.
They could All still be with us.

At first I thought the forest was going to burn down since the coffee pot didn't put down the fire.

Cuphead didn't exist back then
I think it's more likely Cuphead referenced them, given the cartoon was made nearly a century ago.
