To make something clear that you guys might have forgotten, in cour 2 when Yhwach and Ichibei talked he was actually mad that his father was nothing now but a torso in a crystal, he wants to end his suffering(Yhwach thinks the soul king suffers I dont know if he actually does its just his pov)
It's also not necessarily truth, as when Haschwalth gives him condolences, he refuses that he cares. It's more as general revenge, as Yhwach specifically gets back some memories (stuff like pain and fear) from every Quincy after they die and "return" to him. It's not necessarily pity about suffering, but a feeling of disgust with Soul Reapers. Soul Society was always about artificial nobles getting what they wanted and bunch of killers like Yamamoto keeping the "safety" in the realm. At the same time playing gods when it comes to helping Quincies and humanity as a whole. Yhwach knows that Soul King saw it all, that he saw getting chopped down and did nothing to stop it and I don't think he fully understands why, but he knows that this half-life was directly choice made by Soul King and it's that type of existence he despises. Especially as this is the reason why all Quincies suffer. In the cour 2 flashback he also doesn't talk with empathy about his father - it's the disgust of having to see his mutilated body, because of All Mighty letting him see the whole process and betrayal every time he opens his eyes.
10:45 you see where sukuna malevolent shrine was inspired from 😅 11:30 yall were shooketh 😅 11:53 remember he switched ywach with the medallion in ep24? Thats what he did again here 😉 13:23 ywach ascension is pure CINEMA!
[Tidbits] - A cool thing the production did was use the recap to play into the "Kaiser Gesang" or the Hymn of the Quincy King, it goes: The confined Quincy King regains his pulse after 900 years. His mind after 90 years. His strength after 9 years. And the world in 9 days. So what they did was have the moment happen 9 minutes into this episode - It's understood that this episode was mostly done and meant to release during the previous season, so some speculate that there could be a separation between the quality of this episode and the rest of Cour 3 given that they made a new branch studio aimed at improving the adaptations Quality. - Uryu's seems to use a Partial Volstanding which takes strong visual resembelence to his former "Letzt Stil" which makes sense given that the Volstanding is practically an evolution of that technique. - Uryu won using a technique that seemingly altered his posistion or circumstance with his Enemy, we saw a similar thing occur in the last season when Yhwach swapped places with the medallion to escape the cage. We can also assume Uryu's ability must be quite strong given that he's also "A" we just don't know what his "A" stands for yet (but the story is giving hints) - Ichibei obviously shares visual ties with Buddhist monks. Buddha reached Enlightenment through suffering. Enlightment allows for a person to ascend beyond the cycle of life and rebirth. I find this fascinating in that Ichibei's technique was meant to remove Yhwach from the cycle, yet he views/uses it as a means of punishment. (It's almost as if he's somewhat of a perversion of what the Buddha is meant to be) - Just a note for anyone confused. Yhwach's power "A The Almighty" makes it so that anything he sees he will "know" and any power he "knows" will become his ally. Those powers cannot be used to defeat or harm Yhwach, which is why he easily beats Ichibei. This power is especially dangerous when you factor in that he can see into the future as well. - Sidenote: In Buddhism it is implied that a Buddha has a limitless life span, I presume Kubo merged this concept with the idea of names so that as long as there are those who know Ichibei he will never truly die. - There are unique circumstances revolving around the 0 Squad and life/death which isn't revealed untill later using light novels (I wont say what because it may be added to the anime) - Sidenote 2: The voice actor for Uryu let us know that we may want to view this episode a few times over and pay attention to what Uryu is doing. (I presume that has some implications as to something unique or special going on with Uryu and his powers/Like what happened with that drop of blood or his eyes turning Red?) - Sidenote 3: Ichibei said, "I don't need you to kill him" fans should definitely question why? and best believe you'll get an answer. @jhomsubiaga-cabaro5715 but people don't know that for a fact. They know he shares the same letter. But they don't know the name and even though they've seen it, they can't definitively understand what it is until cour 4. For all they know he's developing a form of the almighty
1:40 The snippets are mostly to show the sponsors, I guess they could have made better backgrounds, but it's kinda in the culture of a lot of animes at this point? 2:45 So the decision to do the whole seal comes from the production (presumably in manga Kubo intended for all of them to just be defeated in normal way). With that in mind they picked with Kubo to use Senjumaru for exactly the reason you mentioned - her bankai was fitting for this fight. We have seen some of the other powers and aside maybe mr nr 1 zanpaktou creator - her powers always felt as the broadest and most capable to adapt. We also saw the least of her in the manga, so I feel like that was also an intention. 7:50 So Senjumaru implies here that this is power Uryuu got now from Yhwach. But it's not the case - obviously his shrift and sternritter powers come from him, but the power he defeats her is the thing that made him survive Auswahlen 9 years ago, when Yhwach wanted to gain his strength back. The reason why Uryuu also is letter A - because of power that Yhwach didnt give him. And it's the main reason Senjumaru falls here, because she underestimates him as someone lesser than Yhwach, just simple underling on borrowed power. 8:40 This dialogue may also have strong implications that Senjumaru had part in eradication of Quincies. Likely with Mayuri working under her. 16:50 Remember that they sealed their powers to use Bankai through their lifes. And their bones are keys to the palace. It's kinda given that, if he can revive by having his name called - he likely has ability to revive them as well. The cycle of reincarnation has not been broken, no one is truly dead in this universe - souls transfer through three realms in endless struggle. 18:35 Is he rebelling against his father? Or is he finishing mutilated corpse, that has been locked in a crystal as a lynchpin for the three realms. Who is really a good guy in this situation?
