I find that the German configuration of his drums is difficult to play. Why? Because all keyboard instruments have the low notes on the left side and the high notes on the right side. To me the American configuration makes more sense. Just my opinion

make sure you are not doing a buzz roll and instead doing a single stroke roll and they will be high when you are playing loud.
