I feel your pain crawling around in the trunk. Nice work though and I love your attention to detail. Merry Christmas to you. Thanks for helping to keep the classics alive.
What’s your take on best fitting roof skin? AMD, dynacorn, goodmark..etc I’ve already removed mine. Looking for suggestions before ordering. I’ve always preferred AMD but after my fenders bad fit I got from them I’m considering other options.
Andrew Ortiz this AMD Roof skin needed custom fitment around the window reveal moldings and had a rather large stamping defect on the left side at rear pillar area. Having said that I’d still buy another rather than dealing with what we started with.
I would like to know what company do you use to get you body panels like quarters, fenders and such? You never seem to have fitment and alignment problems like I’ve heard about some company’s replacement body parts. I know you have to fit and make adjustments but if they’re not made right to start with they will never fit and I don’t want to buy from them.
Good day sir; I'm in the process of restoring a '68 Firebird. I wanted to first of all thank you for sharing your knowledge by putting out these videos, they have been of the utmost help to me as I proceed with my project. If you don't mind, could you tell me about the tool you were using in this video that you were using to pull dents up on the trunk lid panel. I am having the same issues with my deck lid and that tool looks like just what is needed to pull this lid back into shape. Thanks again.
What air flange tool are you using ?? Air tools/ grinding pads. I’m about to start my 68 rs/ss soon. Your videos are amazing. Where r u from in Arizona. I’ll need to pick your brain from time to time as this is my first restore.
Jeff, you seem to always have your MIG tuned to perfection. I fight mine all the time. Are you using .023 wire? What are your settings? Thanks for the vids.
Mark Helms 0.23 if I’m patching a butt joint on 18-20 gauge 0.30 for plug welds. Take the time to dial in your welder on practice coupons and tear away the welds to check them.
@@jamesfreddys thanks for the reply! Another issue I have is being able to see what I'm welding through my helmet. It always seems too dark. Probably just my old eyes.
