Winchester offered a 94 in 7-30 waters for a brief time, I have Kens load manuals "Pet Loads" and they are go to manuals in the way of load developments in almost all the calibers that he did articles on. when he was a righter for Handload Magazine he wrote Excellent material as a study before you dive off into a certain round. Not just the round, however, the firearms he used to get those results published. anyway, I believe that the 7-30 did not get the recognition it deserved and I'm glad that you brought it to the table. Peace out Buddy. - Dave
I reform several calibers but am always looking for "better" ways to do things. Thats how I came across this video. Looks like you know what you are doing. Sorry about the Mrs.
Fun video CW! Would you consider doing a video talking about what you know about 5.7 and 22 mag and do your best to convince me of going with a 22 mag? Haha, the price alone is a big seller, but I’m curious on what you might have to teach me on the subject.
I have not played 5.7. I have been 22mag fan since early 1980's when I bought a Marlin 783. Never looked back. Now I have owned dozens of firearms so chambered.
Great video CW my method for forming 308 into 35 rem is a heck of a lot more complicated and messy lol. But at the end of it all I have the brass to shoot my 336.
Cool, I still have a few boxes of 7-30 Waters as I still have the 14" barrel for my contender. When the round stopped being produced I found a used 30-30 barrel at a gun show and replaced the 7-30 Waters with that.
Really interesting. You know this is something I most likely would ever do myself, but its very enjoyable to watch you expertly do because YOU enjoy it. 🤛🏻🔫🇺🇸
Good luck cw with wifes 7-30 waters it hammer a deer for sure. Good way make some brass hard to find. Sorry font 3030 left going send some to you but sent all i had to @TimS and rest of 357mag in 38spl. I sent marc the must 357 mag in 38spl and mess stash of 308. And are brother broakloader2 some 7.62x54r hard one find in brass.
Off subject but my local shop has a Thompson center pistol in 45/70 with around a 14 inch barrel with the brake it has installed. What is a good price on one in real good condition?
These have been all over the map in coats. IIRC that should be a 12" barrel with brake. I dont think factory put brakes in 14's. But could be aftermarket too. Thats ironically the hardest recoiling pistol I ever shot. It was shooting a 400g @ said 2000 fps... VERY heavy. I shoot the Speer @ 1950 in my RIFLE & it THUMPS HARD!!! Barrels alone can go 300+. Frames 375-450$ around here.
@@davidhayes7596 in this configuration it has recoil. Its very very light. Its stock drop also makes it rear up quite a bit. Other videos I have you can see it often contacts me glasses. But I do not find it anywhere near a issue.
Excellent info CW, some rookie loader is going to need to know how to do this and now they can move forward!
👍🏼😋🤟🏽🤘🏼
Pretty cool. I'm going to request .303 British to .410! 😁
I have done that!!!
You go 444 marlin also to 410

I have a few copies of Kens Pet loads. Awesome stuff!! ❤❤❤
@@cw2a (IMO)Pet Loads is a "Must Have" for any reloader.
Love the 30-30 round, never heard of this one
Its a good ine!! Winchester chambered it in the 1894 lever.

Thinking about bidding on a tc contender in this caliber
IMHO, It's one of T/C's best! 💥😛❤️🩹🙏❤️🩹😛💥
How about 30 remington, you ever make any of those?
Mornin man!! No sir only one of that series (25,30,32 & 35) I have is the 35 Remington.
But, in a round about way, YES! In my 10mm!!! 🤘🏼😍🤘🏼😍🤘🏼

@@cw2a they were asking 700 I think. Wish were a carbine rifle setup
So it's some what of a Ackly hybrid. Uh kinda?
I imagine that was the foundation of its design. Its a good one even in a 14" Contender it is a good one. 👍🏼🙏❤️🩹
@@cw2a I bet it's great on White Tail. The deer won't know the difference. A 30-30 is low recoil. So this must be even less . Great round?
