Warner Music Nashville / Atlantic Records breakout Devin Dawson is set to release his brand new The Pink Slip EP on January 15, 2021. The acclaimed singer/songwriter has already released three new tracks from the project: “I Got A Truck,” “Range Rover,” and “He Loved Her.” The songs serve as the first new music from Dawson since the release of his critically celebrated debut album, Dark Horse, and follows the success of the GRAMMY-nominated, multi-week No. 1 single “God’s Country” that he co-wrote for superstar Blake Shelton. The smash hit landed Dawson his first-ever CMA Award nomination for Song of the Year and most recently an ACM Award nod for Song of the Year, having previously earned multiple nods from the ACM, CMT Music and Radio Disney awards. Rob Thomas has always been one of my favorite songwriters. Devin's songs resonate with me on the same level. This song's lyrics and melody make for a great modern-day wedding song. Made me fall in love with my wife of 31 years all over again. Awesome!

It's got a great groove and it hits deep with the awareness and acceptance of the mystery of life and love. Hard to explain but this is a song people will identify with. Love it!
May have to release a version of this song without the intro and release it. I’ve come back to this recording to listen to the song. Of course it wouldn’t be the same as it’s so cool to know the story around the song but this was a great performance.
