Glad I added custom control knobs and machineheads because they look fantastic.
I've got to say - at this price level, this guitar is totally amazing. The silver finish is slightly rough like very fine sandpaper. The humbuckers are silky smooth demons with teeth. And it's as solid as a rock. And it *rocks*.
The neck is gloriously light on finish - smooth and fast. The body hums and resonates as you play. There is so much to like here. What a great guitar!

Thanks for the review,’one popped up here locally at a Guitar Center in Phx for $500 without a case. Its way on the other side of town and I dont need another guitar, but I love Muse and Bellamy’s style of play, plus the color Silver is something I don’t have in my collection. I dig the scifi look of it too!
I have been intrigued by these Manson guitars for awhile now. Ive never got the chance to play one and this one doesn’t have the glowing X/Y pad either so its really a toss up for me if I want to go out of my way to get it

Muse was the reason I decided to pick up a guitar and learn to play. My first guitar was a mexican Fender and after six months I could play a lot of Muse tunes, so I decided to pick up a Manson MBM-1. Unfortunatley it was defect when I received it, and I had to wait a long time for the replacement. When I finally got it, the replacement guitar was also defect, so I had to return it and get my money back. Such a big shame cause the guitar is beautiful, and the sound is sooo good. Will hopefully be able to afford a Manson at some point again in the future
Glad you loved the sound of the MBM-1 but disappointed to hear of some issues, which should have been picked up before dispatch. Let us know which outlet sold you the guitar and what the problems were as we would like to investigate further and ensure any future delivery is perfect for you.
@@mansonguitars5483 The retailer I bought it from was Gear4Music. The problem both times was a snapped pickup selectpr switch. I asked if they could just send me the switch and I could fix it myself but they said I needed to return it. The second one I received also had a really big scratch in the paint, and if it wasn’t for that I would have just picked up a selector switch myself and fixed it.

Duuude let me tell yall a little cool story that happened to me. I was a guitar center with my friend I was originally going to pick up some strings, but of course we went to try the guitars and I try to pick up a guitar I've never played before or ever heard of, so I stay away from the fenders and the metal guitars and the gibsons (fuck gibsons) but I randomly picked up this gun metal Grey colored guitar I was interested bc I've never heard of it and went to try it out and MY GOD! I sat down and put it on my lap, my arms wrapped around it and I KID U NOT it was the most comfortable guitar body shape I've every touched like dude it was incredible I've never had a guitar that comfy in my life like you usually find guitars giving u marks on your upper arms but this one was different it felt like I was it wasn't there I was mesmerized by how comfy it felt.

The MBM-1 replaced the MBC-1, it's an updated version.
I'm gladly waiting for them to change the fretboard for rosewood/ebony on future versions of this guitar. Unfortunately, this guitar looks so cheap in comparison to the Cort MBC1 that was released years ago (I have one and it's an outstanding guitar). Within $800, other companies(Schecter, Solar) are putting ebony fretboards on their guitars. Please add something to that price tag but change the fretboard for something that makes this guitar completely shine as it is meant to be. This is not a hate comment in any way. I really want Manson Guitars to succeed and I hope they take this feedback knowing that there's no intention of any harm.
Hi Ian, we always look to the best materials to put on our guitars and following restrictions on rosewood we choose Indian Laurel as the best option for sustainability and durability. But we also always look with our models to seek other alternatives as we improve the range over time.
