Maybe so, but he stunted his musical growth by trying to be some one else for the last 40 years and created no music of his own! The whole idea of playing music is to be self creative and express yourself! All artists play each others music but create their own as well. It's also about tapping the spirit of music!

Youve GOT to be joking. I mean he's not bad and he has a great band but his guitar tone is all wrong for Hendrix, his chops are choppy and dont swing like the James. His voice however is pretty spot on. I would be embarrased to have this guitar performance posted for all to see though

I have no words.. Jimi was a one off. This band absolutely kills it in every aspect. Mr Jimi Hendrix would be proud, I would imagine.
We`re fixing to find out, as soon as I get my Tardis running, again I`m taking Randy to the Monterey International Pop Festival ( June 16-18, 1967) to really blow Jimi`s mind, lol! I can`t wait, this is going to be so excellent!

oh my god hendrix is still alive !
I saw Randy several times starting in the late-70s. The most amazing show I witnessed was at the Whisky-A-Go-Go in Hollywood, CA. I think either Sunset Blvd is where the Whisky is...at the end of the show he went right out on Sunset and jammed...the audience was holding his guitar cord for him (this is before 'wireless' electric guitars). People walking and driving on Sunset Blvd just stopped and stared at him. They were completely blown-away.

Randy does so much more than an impression of Jimi. Randy is one of best guitarists in the world, with few if any peers still playing this awesome music style. He’s a master guitar craftsman, and a true performer. Nobody can stand toe to toe with this guy, let alone top him. His band is absolutely the best in the business.

Auch wenn die Begleitmusiker aus Deutschland sind, so kennen sie sich bereits seit Woodstock, die Story ist inzwischen ebenso Legende, wie Jimi und auch Randy. Besser geht nicht, ich kenne alle Drei seit über 20 Jahren und von etlichen Concerten. Brilliante Musiker, die für die Music brennen. Als Tribute für Jimi nicht zu toppen! Hoffe, man wird sie noch lange hören und sehen können.

Ya know I do not understand why he is not on the Experience Hendrix tour in the U.S., most likely he would steal the show every night, I saw him with his band Machine Gun in 1979 he was a master at Jimi then and still is!!!!

Well he’s friends with Leon Hendrix....and Leon & Janie have been fighting for years over the Estate so, I think there might be some animosity by Janie in the “Your either on my side or against me”....and that could be playing a part. But Randy is by the far the best guy to play Hendrix since Hendrix himself bar none
