If you can find black walnuts, they would be delicious on the maple butter cheesecake! My dad would husk, crack and hull black walnuts and my mom would use them in fudge. 😋

What quantity of syrup do you make in a normal year?

The years vary so much. Depending on how the sap runs and how much sap we buy from other people, we've made anywhere from 500 gallons to 10k gallons.
