To the people out there that don't understand why Alex says TDU SC sounds better than FH5 : it's simple, most of TDU SC's sounds are more organic and well mixed with the ambient sounds. In FH5 the acoustics are more focused on the raw car sound, and in TDU SC there's more sound reverb effect which I guess sounds nicer to the ear aswell. Also, in TDU SC, it sounds like the engine is really pushing the car's weight while in FH5 it seems like the engine is effortlessly pushing the car's weight (it sounds more linear in general). From what I've heard from the TDU SC gameplay reveal and from what I've heard from various FH5 gameplays (I don't play this game), I would say that TDU SC has more detailed and ambient car sounds. But anyway everyone has different ears and taste, so it's just my opinion.
I normally don't post. But I have to say when it comes to giving info about TDUSC. You are very chill. You don't overhype, nor do you over criticise. Looking forward to your next video.

Tdu1 and 2 are two of my fav games, it must be a total experience that they took you closer to the development of this game. My only two desires for this game, is that there’s a clutch option for manual cars( I’m used to playing with clutch on a game pad) it adds so much to the feeling of driving, so it’s a must imo Another must in this game is car delivery missions, and hitch hiker missions. That was one of the best things about TDU1 imo, and one of the things that made TDU TDU.. P.S also the turn off/start car option would be very very nice. Great job so far KT! Cannot wait to dive in to this game!

I'm really excited about this game. I was 29 when I started playing the old Test Drive games, then TDU came out and it blew me away. Then YDU2 came out and I loved that they kept Hawaii as the location again. The world had been improved over TDU and I liked the way challenges were displayed for single player and that where ever you drive you could see other players driving around. Something Forza copied. I'm 52 years old now and will definitely be buying this game. ❤
Ah yes! When TDU 1 came it blew my mind too! I played the demo hundreds of hours , and probably 1500-2000 hours the actual game. So unique and ahead of its time. Although I enjoyed Forza Horizon 1 and 2, it never really compared to TDU, and the later FH games even less exciting imo. Very excited to play this new TDU
@caprise-music6722 lol, yeah, I downloaded the demo too, but then I bought the game after being restricted by the demo, and that was that. Hooked line and sinker. It's sad that Atari went under and the game couldn't progress, so it's really exciting someone else saw the magic of this game.

I am a TDU lover (thousands of hours cruising around the island enjoying the vehicles, if I have to choose which TDU I like more, that would be the 1st one), before saying anything, I am loving your videos, I found about you in the TDUSC gameplay. You asked about how many players should be online freeroaming on the same server. Well, I never knew why 8 players was the maximum back then, so at least more than that, would be awesome plus one more thing, if they offer again the ability to be a co-pilot, would be great if it doesn't fill a car player slot in the server! I find it funny that people look at this and think TDUSC is a copy of Forza Horizon or the Crew. Goes to show they never played the original TDU or know the release dates of the other games compared to TDU.Those games were largely influenced by TDU 1&2

I'd rather this comes out in 2025 and is a fleshed game, with just as much content as tdu2 had if not more. Also I think the showcase was dumb and cause for some red flags. The best thing about was dat ass.
I'm pretty impressed by the sound in TDU SC. Even though I remember FH5 they said they completely revamped the engine sounds and yes it was indeed way better than FH4, but now I realize that is simply because FH4 sounds were terrible. In TDU SC it actually feels the car is part of the environment, looks like they have some good spatial audio stuff going on. I also remember the pop from the exhaust echoed very nicely and realistically in the gameplay. Not sure how they achieve this but looks like they know what they're doing.
You're a real one for keeping this hype train going since we first heard about this game. I'm sure the devs really appreciate you being positive and open minded about the progress on this game!

I'm thinking of dropping close to 1k for a decent wheel setup for this game lol, my first time using the wheel so should be something. Btw congrats man! I've been following this game and you since it was announced a few years back and its cool to see the progression. I like all the devs here, they all seem so invested in the game like a labor of love and they listen to the community. That's what I love about the smaller studios instead of the big budget corps that only care about $$$ and put out a boring unfinished tittle.

1. They need to bring back the odometer to each car 2. They need to make the cars value up so the game wont be easy like forza 3. Add light stops and make the city more real that why we loved the game the first place 4. Add car wash and polished 5. Add service for each car
Yeah if gas stations can have car wash bays you can just pull up to, and wash your vehicle, we'd be nice! There are stop lights in this game already, and they work!

If they will make a risk for driven a car in a dangerous behavier the game would feel much more alive. Just imagine grinding a 1m$ for a car and be terrified to run 300 miles with it. That point would change the whole idea of reckles driving, and win/loss risk Would be amazing. When i played tdu2 "car delivery" i would start over the mission if i scratch it just a tiny bit
If it has the follwing, I´ll be happy: -Decent, convincing driving physics -A good variety of vehicles with immersive interiors (not gonna play one second in 3rdP view ;) ) -A world that is noticably bigger than those tiny FH or NFS maps, with a complex road network and lots of things to explore -a good bunch of side activities aside from straight up racing (TDU with "side missions" to earn "clothing currency" comes to mind) Edit: What would be really nice would be, if you hang out at a car meet with others, you could earn social points and even a bonus if you actively "do stuff" on those car meets and with "social points" you could unlock stuff like deco for your room/ house (later) or accessories for your avatar and such... if I were to make a game like this, this would be a "must have feature" :)

It could literally check every box, how we, the community react from this point to launch, supporting the devs, giving constructive feedback, I'd be lying if I thought this game wouldn't be able to do it. it ain't finished, but we ain't far from getting a great driving game either

I think (in my opinion) 16 player or 20 players are fair and enough to play in , because first of all , I don't have many friends lol and 2nd I like to chose better racers in my friends lists (aka the best free roamer) so I can get the best experience with them , and secondly it's because I'll be growing my reputation with them so we can challenge others (Sharps , since I'm a street :D) For the sound in general on FH is not immersive to be honest , I always searched for ambient sound feeling and tdusc on the gameplay shown I felt it inside the city and the car too , I do like in game to turn off every sound and keep the engine and the effects , that's how I play racing games + activating 7.1 option on my headset 😍 Thank you Alex for providing such infos that I missed , one thing I do hope is to be selected in the Beta , I want to help the devs to find bugs and improve the game to become the sharpest game ever made in racing games history. and thanks to Guillaume & Camille for giving you answers 🧡🧡

I will never forget in TDU I randomly met some people from England, who like me, liked to cruise properly, and we became friends and all had different cars driving in a long line. It was literally one of the best things I’ve experienced in my life. p.s tbf, we also did off-road forest hill climbing with the 4wd Skyline, the only car that could go off-road haha.. was very entertaining, albeit a bit crazy

I'm glad the devs know what TDU is about and feel us fans but at this day and age where almost every new game release broken, unfinished or rushed I gotta keep my expectations low to non-existent so no pre-orders for now, I REALLY hope this dev team and publisher actually care about their product and give us what we've been asking for years now, I would gladly purchase the game at full AAA price if it captures the vibe, atmosphere and scale of TDU 2.
I hope they’ll add Hawaii as an DLC map later on. Just can’t really get the feels out of my mind lol. TDU without Hawaii feels different but I am truly happy to see this game coming back and it definitely does looks promising so far! Also hope to see some bikes as well.

I think that problem is not in physics, but in camera movement or position, it is too rubber-banded, maybe on the different speeds it needs to have different stiffness and camera fov. This is super underrated in my opinion
Camera movement is tired to physics, so once you see that polished, and the controller is less twitchy, it'll look smoother and better. If it still looks weird then yeah it might be what you're saying, hard to tell atm on low fps alpha footage haha

@4:13 - Given what we experienced on July 12th, with all the players gathering together [in the club setting], the potential for having more than 16 is there. In the lobby itself it should be 30 players in a lobby this is a next gen only game it should have 30 player lobbies bare minimum 25 players and just because I say 30 doesn’t mean it will be 30 players in every lobby that’s just how many players can fit in a lobby if need be because if a public lobby has 20 people in it you can invite 10 of your friends to join your lobby if it’s room with 16 players you leave no room for anyone
I’m absolutely hyped. I’m desperate for real rock/metal music in the game. I don’t understand why they’d disregard one of the most popular forms of music ever like that. I keep posting a suggestion for a metal radio station in the Discord suggestion thing and they keep taking it down (no one knows who is or why it is being deleted). This is the third time I’ve posted it. They haven’t taken it down yet. I also messaged KT Racing on their website formally. I really want this. Doing that might make this my favorite game of all time. I really hope it gets through to them. I can do all ten hours of music for them if they want!
I can't see them adding a radio station before launch, but I think they can defo do that post launch, though tbh you might see some real rock music/metal already on the radio station called 'indie rock' but idk for sure
@@TheAlexVIIIf they’re specifying indie rock, you should expect indie rock, which is a genre of rock music that is a combination of jangle pop and post-punk. It’s pretty soft and I wouldn’t see why they’d have a full station for that. Hopefully we can expect regular rock music to come out of that station, but probably not metal.
just turn down the ingame music and play it on a second app, thats what i do almost all the time. Make your own playlists or put on your favorit radio station on in the background, problem solved.
@@leaIsGayer you know, GTA San Andreas did that best, on the OG Xbox(maybe it worked on PS2 aswell, but not sure) anyway, you could actually put import a cd to your Xbox, and then somehow you could have it inside gta San Andreas where it was like a radio station in the game, so you just used d pad. Why have o never seen that again? That was pure genius, cuz the sound came from the same source

Allow persons to fullest tune the car with after-market parts for the best performance. Include one or two small details like how bad spark plugs can affect your performance or oil or the turbo have a lifetime frame, or engine overheating, etc...and going forward in future games you can always add in real-life things you would do to a car to get the best performance and engine swapping and anti-lag
I really wished they finally would do it in a open world racing game and add VR support. Back then with TDU 1 and 2 the tech wasn't there but imagine now, a TDU game that always had also a big social interaction aspect and you would be able to stand and see the other drivers and friends avatars up in person in VR. It don't has to be full blown VR with motion controller etc. just add 6dof head tracking like in Dirt Rally 2.0, Assetto Corsa, Project Cars 2, and so on. Keep the controls as they are. Also of course it's optional like in the mentioned games, you can play either non-vr or vr... I can't say this enough but imagine driving across the map in your hard earned supercar in VR, like you are THERE. But at this point I think we will never get an open world acrade racer in VR, only racing sims. :(
ngl bro, we are so far away from VR support happening in open world racing games. We just don't have the tech, we don't have the hardware, and VR isn't big enough to put that much R&D into open world racing games rn
Sadly. If TDU2 would been open source someone might able to make a VR mod. But I think an open world racer would work in VR. Euro Truck Sim 2 works great in VR and with multiplayer. Yes it's not that open, but it shows it could work. But someone can dream. :)
Great to see the Developers Answering some great questions and I am totally in the Positive Vibe for this Game and 2024 is going to be a great year for TDU Fans - Fantastic TDUSC Coverage here on your Channel - 2nd to Non - The Team there know hwat they are doing and I want a base game then enhancements and DLC's to grow afterwards to enhance the brand for the future! Sounds are Magnificent and its funny but all I here from FH5 fans id that they never fix the sounds on some cars - For me having great sounds is most important - Howvere I am one of those people who turn the music off straight away, but if in cruise mode then maybe its back on. Funny enough I am only just completeing the Crew2 Radio challenges this week afte 6yrs lol. Honestly I’d like as many players in the session as possible, while balancing it with running smooth. I’m done with games that feel dead, like FH5 with no pedestrians and almost no ai traffic
agreeed! This game will have dense traffic once it's finished, and I can't tell you about ped's yet 👀, but it will feel alive for sure, hopefully we can see it all in action in the near future!
Hey Alex, I had a question. In previous TDU games, each car had its own real life speedometer and tacometer in the game HUD. But all cars I've seen in the Alpha version gameplay video use the same generic speedometer and tachometer. Do you know if each car will have its own real life speedometer and tacometer in the game HUD in the final release version of the game? For online racing and cruising I would like to see at least 16-player lobbies (cross platform), but would prefer 20+ Way back in 2009 there were so many times we wanted to exceed the 8 player limit. The Crew is even worse with it's 4-player crew limit (x2 crews). NFS Unbound has 16 player lobbies. It'll be important to find the right balance between being able to read player names over cars but not have your view of the road ahead blocked by those labels when following closely. The labels could be raised or lowered and fade in/out depending on proximity to help.
Are there going to be bodykits or not doesn’t really matter because that is not what tdu is about but was interested and iff there are bodykits are it just little lips and stuff or are it like bodykits like a rwb bodykit veilside etc love your videos btw really excited for when the game comes out and the content that you will bring with it you really deserve more subscribers and watchers and I hope you will get that when the game comes out!
I really hope the hardcore driving mode will let us drift with rear wheel drive cars so you can really hold those drifts and not slowing down. Maybe also add an wheel angle kit. And hope they fix the wheel animation because from what I’ve seen it doesn’t feel good when ur in the cockpit en the wheel only rotates 180 degrees..

Honestly hope their will be customization on this game. And not just the generic customization of games now a days although they are important for personalizing your vehicle but real world customizations with every detail of a vehicle. From customizing or personalizing guages according to whats available in real life to shifters. Placing handbreaks from next to you to next to the steering. Replacing the shifter nobs or handrbake handle. Adding gauges in the vehicle and gps so that the hud can disappear if you so chose. I know this seems like a stretch but a menu for the radio to place where youd like to hear the radio with headsets whiles hearing the engine in the front and hearing the exhaust depending on where the exhaust is placed. Adding neons in the interior. This game is possible of being the best real life simulator not just for racing but just driving in general. This could be the game we go back to 5 to 10 years from now. For the dream cars we wish to have in real life and how itll become in comperison visually and using tuning specs. To the dream cars we all know well never have. Honestly this time between graphics vs gamplay were all in. If this game can focus on what your able to do whiles keeping true to its real life components. With their next game. Theyll have the foundation for pure graphic esthetics. Whiles copy and pasting the accessability and phyisics of the current game living up to its realistic standarts. And the only thing the developers would have to concern themselves with at the time of the next game. Will be keeping up with the technology that will be released at that time. If this doesnt sound like the absolute best way to go about this game with every update being a genuinely new way to creat accessability like changing a shifter, placing a handbrake. The difference between using straight cut gears and the sound that comes from it. Learning the specific way you use straight cut gears whiles driving with a steering set up because their is or itll not go into gear. Its a gearbox that needs timing and force. This game could end up developing the technology we use to today like force feedback on a shifter. I dont think people realise how arcade games slowed down the way we think and feel things. I truly believe that this game solely because of how realistic it is so far could push an industry just by simply exploring the small things other games have failed so often doing.
This is message is for the developers. Incase they want genuine feedback on a game that seems to have a genuine foundation on physics, handling and sound.

Game looks really promising! I just wonder if there will be pink slip races? I really enjoyed the AI pink slip races in Midnight Club LA. It was also fun that the AI would use your car in the next race when you lost. Would also be really nice to be able to win another players customized car.

I joined the TDU Discord and tried suggesting about having extensive amount of customization from aftermarket parts, but I and many others were met with a lot of push-back saying that it's not in the "TDU DNA", and that too much customization can ruin the "atmosphere". We weren't even asking for crazy bodykits like NFS has, just the normal bodykits and parts. Do you think that adding customization will ruin the TDU DNA, or could it be a cool addition? I personally think it fits in with the Streets vs Sharps battle
I probably won't be able to do this until much closer to launch. I mean OEM+ bodykits for certain cars that will have them available is something more along the lines of what the TDU DNA is. I'd love to see maybe BRABUS kits, or ALPINA, or etc maybe other high end kits id you know what I mean
if we somehow get that lmfao, crazy, probably would be a licencing issue anyway, not sure how you'd be able to interact on controller for consoles tho, it's gonna be hard implementing that level of detail, who knows tho

There's a classic car dealer specifically you can go to in the game, with some nice ones, though I really can't wait to tyest the physics on them! Cobra would be quite nice to cruise around in for sure! Nacon haven't selected the best communication strategy, I hope you really can help them to fix this, cause the timing they selected to release info hasn't been the best, sadly. To the people out there that don't understand why Alex says TDU SC sounds better than FH5 : it's simple, most of TDU SC's sounds are more organic and well mixed with the ambient sounds. In FH5 the acoustics are more focused on the raw car sound, and in TDU SC there's more sound reverb effect which I guess sounds nicer to the ear aswell. Also, in TDU SC, it sounds like the engine is really pushing the car's weight while in FH5 it seems like the engine is effortlessly pushing the car's weight (it sounds more linear in general). From what I've heard from the TDU SC gameplay reveal and from what I've heard from various FH5 gameplays (I don't play this game), I would say that TDU SC has more detailed and ambient car sounds. But anyway everyone has different ears and taste, so it's just my opinion.

My only two desires for this game, is that there’s a clutch option for manual cars( I’m used to playing with clutch on a game pad) it adds so much to the feeling of driving, so it’s a must imo
Another must in this game is car delivery missions, and hitch hiker missions. That was one of the best things about TDU1 imo, and one of the things that made TDU TDU..
P.S also the turn off/start car option would be very very nice.

I'm really excited about this game. I was 29 when I started playing the old Test Drive games, then TDU came out and it blew me away. Then YDU2 came out and I loved that they kept Hawaii as the location again. The world had been improved over TDU and I liked the way challenges were displayed for single player and that where ever you drive you could see other players driving around. Something Forza copied. I'm 52 years old now and will definitely be buying this game. ❤
Ah yes! When TDU 1 came it blew my mind too! I played the demo hundreds of hours , and probably 1500-2000 hours the actual game. So unique and ahead of its time. Although I enjoyed Forza Horizon 1 and 2, it never really compared to TDU, and the later FH games even less exciting imo. Very excited to play this new TDU

I am a TDU lover (thousands of hours cruising around the island enjoying the vehicles, if I have to choose which TDU I like more, that would be the 1st one), before saying anything, I am loving your videos, I found about you in the TDUSC gameplay. You asked about how many players should be online freeroaming on the same server. Well, I never knew why 8 players was the maximum back then, so at least more than that, would be awesome plus one more thing, if they offer again the ability to be a co-pilot, would be great if it doesn't fill a car player slot in the server! I find it funny that people look at this and think TDUSC is a copy of Forza Horizon or the Crew. Goes to show they never played the original TDU or know the release dates of the other games compared to TDU.Those games were largely influenced by TDU 1&2

I'm pretty impressed by the sound in TDU SC. Even though I remember FH5 they said they completely revamped the engine sounds and yes it was indeed way better than FH4, but now I realize that is simply because FH4 sounds were terrible. In TDU SC it actually feels the car is part of the environment, looks like they have some good spatial audio stuff going on. I also remember the pop from the exhaust echoed very nicely and realistically in the gameplay. Not sure how they achieve this but looks like they know what they're doing.
You're a real one for keeping this hype train going since we first heard about this game. I'm sure the devs really appreciate you being positive and open minded about the progress on this game!

I'm thinking of dropping close to 1k for a decent wheel setup for this game lol, my first time using the wheel so should be something. Btw congrats man! I've been following this game and you since it was announced a few years back and its cool to see the progression. I like all the devs here, they all seem so invested in the game like a labor of love and they listen to the community. That's what I love about the smaller studios instead of the big budget corps that only care about $$$ and put out a boring unfinished tittle.

3. Add light stops and make the city more real that why we loved the game the first place

Add hardcore mode, you crashed the car its gone! Like tarkov, thast how you bring value to the car and the game feeling of win and losing
Yeah if gas stations can have car wash bays you can just pull up to, and wash your vehicle, we'd be nice! There are stop lights in this game already, and they work!

2. If they will make a risk for driven a car in a dangerous behavier the game would feel much more alive.
Just imagine grinding a 1m$ for a car and be terrified to run 300 miles with it. That point would change the whole idea of reckles driving, and win/loss risk Would be amazing.

Simply unbelievable I have never read so much hate for a game in the comments as in this one. lol But somehow I can understand
If it has the follwing, I´ll be happy:
-Decent, convincing driving physics
-A good variety of vehicles with immersive interiors (not gonna play one second in 3rdP view ;) )
-A world that is noticably bigger than those tiny FH or NFS maps, with a complex road network and lots of things to explore
-a good bunch of side activities aside from straight up racing (TDU with "side missions" to earn "clothing currency" comes to mind)
Edit: What would be really nice would be, if you hang out at a car meet with others, you could earn social points and even a bonus if you actively "do stuff" on those car meets
and with "social points" you could unlock stuff like deco for your room/ house (later) or accessories for your avatar and such... if I were to make a game like this, this would be a
"must have feature" :)

It could literally check every box, how we, the community react from this point to launch, supporting the devs, giving constructive feedback, I'd be lying if I thought this game wouldn't be able to do it. it ain't finished, but we ain't far from getting a great driving game either

I think (in my opinion) 16 player or 20 players are fair and enough to play in , because first of all , I don't have many friends lol and 2nd I like to chose better racers in my friends lists (aka the best free roamer) so I can get the best experience with them , and secondly it's because I'll be growing my reputation with them so we can challenge others (Sharps , since I'm a street :D)
For the sound in general on FH is not immersive to be honest , I always searched for ambient sound feeling and tdusc on the gameplay shown I felt it inside the city and the car too , I do like in game to turn off every sound and keep the engine and the effects , that's how I play racing games + activating 7.1 option on my headset 😍

SpeedFraggerGames I couldn’t agree more. I want to find people who are able to drive properly, not just hoon around like chickens on fire. Nice to see that there’s people who feel the same way as me. I will never forget in TDU I randomly met some people from England, who like me, liked to cruise properly, and we became friends and all had different cars driving in a long line. It was literally one of the best things I’ve experienced in my life.
p.s tbf, we also did off-road forest hill climbing with the 4wd Skyline, the only car that could go off-road haha.. was very entertaining, albeit a bit crazy

Awesome new details about the game and let's be honest the only people that are complaining are those, in my opinion, who didn't play much of the origial TDU and TDU 2 and those who most of the time play Need for Speed and Forza Horizon wich are great games and I still play them but guys you can't judge a game when you only see it in alpha , just wait for the full release LOL

I'm glad the devs know what TDU is about and feel us fans but at this day and age where almost every new game release broken, unfinished or rushed I gotta keep my expectations low to non-existent so no pre-orders for now, I REALLY hope this dev team and publisher actually care about their product and give us what we've been asking for years now, I would gladly purchase the game at full AAA price if it captures the vibe, atmosphere and scale of TDU 2.

I think that problem is not in physics, but in camera movement or position, it is too rubber-banded, maybe on the different speeds it needs to have different stiffness and camera fov. This is super underrated in my opinion
Camera movement is tired to physics, so once you see that polished, and the controller is less twitchy, it'll look smoother and better. If it still looks weird then yeah it might be what you're saying, hard to tell atm on low fps alpha footage haha

I'm curious though...if we will be able to have that many (or more) players in other social settings, highlighting more of the lifestyle aspects of Solar Crown (to complement the driving / racing), besides the ones mentioned (i.e., houses).

In the lobby itself it should be 30 players in a lobby this is a next gen only game it should have 30 player lobbies bare minimum 25 players and just because I say 30 doesn’t mean it will be 30 players in every lobby that’s just how many players can fit in a lobby if need be because if a public lobby has 20 people in it you can invite 10 of your friends to join your lobby if it’s room with 16 players you leave no room for anyone

I’m absolutely hyped. I’m desperate for real rock/metal music in the game. I don’t understand why they’d disregard one of the most popular forms of music ever like that. I keep posting a suggestion for a metal radio station in the Discord suggestion thing and they keep taking it down (no one knows who is or why it is being deleted). This is the third time I’ve posted it. They haven’t taken it down yet. I also messaged KT Racing on their website formally. I really want this. Doing that might make this my favorite game of all time. I really hope it gets through to them. I can do all ten hours of music for them if they want!
I can't see them adding a radio station before launch, but I think they can defo do that post launch, though tbh you might see some real rock music/metal already on the radio station called 'indie rock' but idk for sure
@@TheAlexVIIIf they’re specifying indie rock, you should expect indie rock, which is a genre of rock music that is a combination of jangle pop and post-punk. It’s pretty soft and I wouldn’t see why they’d have a full station for that. Hopefully we can expect regular rock music to come out of that station, but probably not metal.
just turn down the ingame music and play it on a second app, thats what i do almost all the time. Make your own playlists or put on your favorit radio station on in the background, problem solved.
@@leaIsGayer you know, GTA San Andreas did that best, on the OG Xbox(maybe it worked on PS2 aswell, but not sure) anyway, you could actually put import a cd to your Xbox, and then somehow you could have it inside gta San Andreas where it was like a radio station in the game, so you just used d pad. Why have o never seen that again? That was pure genius, cuz the sound came from the same source

Allow persons to fullest tune the car with after-market parts for the best performance. Include one or two small details like how bad spark plugs can affect your performance or oil or the turbo have a lifetime frame, or engine overheating, etc...and going forward in future games you can always add in real-life things you would do to a car to get the best performance and engine swapping and anti-lag

I really wished they finally would do it in a open world racing game and add VR support. Back then with TDU 1 and 2 the tech wasn't there but imagine now, a TDU game that always had also a big social interaction aspect and you would be able to stand and see the other drivers and friends avatars up in person in VR. It don't has to be full blown VR with motion controller etc. just add 6dof head tracking like in Dirt Rally 2.0, Assetto Corsa, Project Cars 2, and so on. Keep the controls as they are. Also of course it's optional like in the mentioned games, you can play either non-vr or vr... I can't say this enough but imagine driving across the map in your hard earned supercar in VR, like you are THERE. But at this point I think we will never get an open world acrade racer in VR, only racing sims. :(
ngl bro, we are so far away from VR support happening in open world racing games. We just don't have the tech, we don't have the hardware, and VR isn't big enough to put that much R&D into open world racing games rn
Sadly. If TDU2 would been open source someone might able to make a VR mod. But I think an open world racer would work in VR. Euro Truck Sim 2 works great in VR and with multiplayer. Yes it's not that open, but it shows it could work. But someone can dream. :)
I hope they change the ui speedometer to the actual car speedometer. That was an awesome part of the TDU games

Sounds are Magnificent and its funny but all I here from FH5 fans id that they never fix the sounds on some cars - For me having great sounds is most important - Howvere I am one of those people who turn the music off straight away, but if in cruise mode then maybe its back on. Honestly I’d like as many players in the session as possible, while balancing it with running smooth. I’m done with games that feel dead, like FH5 with no pedestrians and almost no ai traffic

Hey Alex, I had a question. In previous TDU games, each car had its own real life speedometer and tacometer in the game HUD. But all cars I've seen in the Alpha version gameplay video use the same generic speedometer and tachometer. Do you know if each car will have its own real life speedometer and tacometer in the game HUD in the final release version of the game?

For online racing and cruising I would like to see at least 16-player lobbies (cross platform), but would prefer 20+
Way back in 2009 there were so many times we wanted to exceed the 8 player limit.
The Crew is even worse with it's 4-player crew limit (x2 crews).
NFS Unbound has 16 player lobbies.
It'll be important to find the right balance between being able to read player names over cars but not have your view of the road ahead blocked by those labels when following closely. The labels could be raised or lowered and fade in/out depending on proximity to help.
Yeah if they can hit 16, sweetspot imo I do agree here, plus with traffic finished and turned up for density game can be quite immersive
I think 8-12 players per-lobby is a solid number
Are there going to be bodykits or not doesn’t really matter because that is not what tdu is about but was interested and iff there are bodykits are it just little lips and stuff or are it like bodykits like a rwb bodykit veilside etc love your videos btw really excited for when the game comes out and the content that you will bring with it you really deserve more subscribers and watchers and I hope you will get that when the game comes out!
I really hope the hardcore driving mode will let us drift with rear wheel drive cars so you can really hold those drifts and not slowing down. Maybe also add an wheel angle kit. And hope they fix the wheel animation because from what I’ve seen it doesn’t feel good when ur in the cockpit en the wheel only rotates 180 degrees..
So then this isn't strictly a online only is it? Like for racing can I race AI if I don't want to mess with with actual people? Or are we always gonna be racing against real people?

Honestly hope their will be customization on this game. And not just the generic customization of games now a days although they are important for personalizing your vehicle but real world customizations with every detail of a vehicle. From customizing or personalizing guages according to whats available in real life to shifters. Placing handbreaks from next to you to next to the steering. Replacing the shifter nobs or handrbake handle. Adding gauges in the vehicle and gps so that the hud can disappear if you so chose. I know this seems like a stretch but a menu for the radio to place where youd like to hear the radio with headsets whiles hearing the engine in the front and hearing the exhaust depending on where the exhaust is placed. Adding neons in the interior. This game is possible of being the best real life simulator not just for racing but just driving in general. This could be the game we go back to 5 to 10 years from now. For the dream cars we wish to have in real life and how itll become in comperison visually and using tuning specs. To the dream cars we all know well never have. Honestly this time between graphics vs gamplay were all in. If this game can focus on what your able to do whiles keeping true to its real life components. With their next game. Theyll have the foundation for pure graphic esthetics. Whiles copy and pasting the accessability and phyisics of the current game living up to its realistic standarts. And the only thing the developers would have to concern themselves with at the time of the next game. Will be keeping up with the technology that will be released at that time. If this doesnt sound like the absolute best way to go about this game with every update being a genuinely new way to creat accessability like changing a shifter, placing a handbrake. The difference between using straight cut gears and the sound that comes from it. Learning the specific way you use straight cut gears whiles driving with a steering set up because their is or itll not go into gear. Its a gearbox that needs timing and force. This game could end up developing the technology we use to today like force feedback on a shifter. I dont think people realise how arcade games slowed down the way we think and feel things. I truly believe that this game solely because of how realistic it is so far could push an industry just by simply exploring the small things other games have failed so often doing.
This is message is for the developers. Incase they want genuine feedback on a game that seems to have a genuine foundation on physics, handling and sound.
I am absolutely hyped for the game! There is only one thing i hope they bring back was the different speedometers on the hud with each car. Ik since it's alpha it might just be a placeholder but maybe beta will have it?
Game looks really promising! I just wonder if there will be pink slip races? I really enjoyed the AI pink slip races in Midnight Club LA. It was also fun that the AI would use your car in the next race when you lost. Would also be really nice to be able to win another players customized car.
Is there different save games so for example if you want to play as sharps or streets you can experience both

Bro i see your love for this game and this franchise. You are basically the one doing their works for them. The game has zero communication with the fans and the community. You are the only one trying to give us the insight on the game and talking to us. They should not be surprised if ppl don't play their games because bro there's no bond to this game at all atm. Everyone is just giving slight hope on this game because of the previous love they had for the previous game. If not we would swipe their game out with the underwhelming showcase they did. It's not like their are not other great racing games we can play for them to be this quiet

Hey man! Can you please make a video about what kind of customization there is in the game? Like an in-depth detailed video with all the items that can be customized?
I joined the TDU Discord and tried suggesting about having extensive amount of customization from aftermarket parts, but I and many others were met with a lot of push-back saying that it's not in the "TDU DNA", and that too much customization can ruin the "atmosphere". We weren't even asking for crazy bodykits like NFS has, just the normal bodykits and parts. Do you think that adding customization will ruin the TDU DNA, or could it be a cool addition? I personally think it fits in with the Streets vs Sharps battle
I probably won't be able to do this until much closer to launch. I mean OEM+ bodykits for certain cars that will have them available is something more along the lines of what the TDU DNA is. I'd love to see maybe BRABUS kits, or ALPINA, or etc maybe other high end kits id you know what I mean

There's a classic car dealer specifically you can go to in the game, with some nice ones, though I really can't wait to tyest the physics on them! Cobra would be quite nice to cruise around in for sure! Some confirmed classics are:

Nacon haven't selected the best communication strategy, I hope you really can help them to fix this, cause the timing they selected to release info hasn't been the best, sadly. Still I feel that is a game with a lot of potential, and can be a very enjoyable one, but to be profitable, they have to change things in communication.
