- Amanda of CatSynth plays the Korg PS3300 FS, a full-size and fully analog reissue of the legendary and elusive Korg PS3300 synthesizer. It is polyphonic (each key), and has three independent voices per key. Each voice has an oscillator, resonant filter, a unique resonator module, and LFO/envelope modulation sources. It's quite a beast with an overwhelming set of parameters - we really only scratch the surface in this brief demo.

Even with no effects and mono it sounds huge.
I absolutely love the NO TAKING DEMO!!! I realize it sounds a bit distorted but I also understand this is not a studio setting and you can’t control everything on the floor of a NAMM show - I should know - been there and done that. Please do more if you can. I also looked at the wonderful trip to Japan on you channel - I like the combination of not just synth but perhaps you can do both with some of your music on some of your videos? Just a thought. No biggie. I used to live on Oak street in SF just off Broderick near Haight Ashbury and the Paint Ladies (in between actually) - had some fun times.
Thanks! And cool that you lived over there for a while (Oak Street). BTW, I also responded to your later comment 😺
Okay, enough watching synth videos, I’m going to play with my iridium.
Have fun 😺🎹
Amazing synth. Wish I had one.
It's madness !!! No fx ?! Just amazing. Id pay 5 k for this honestly. Not many will even have recorded one. You could build a whole career of it.
I'm a musician so I can dig that
£13000 ... personally I find the sound utterly underwhelming. Beautiful object though
Its actually a crap synth with very meager sound and old engineering for silly money with a superb great look.
Poor sound
Listen the difference with the vintage PS series

Complete nonsense. 49 notes of polyphony and you play it like a monosynth? You're kidding me 😭
But does she know what is doing? Seriously
Who cares?
Do you?
You have 31 subs and zero content.
@@dankeplace I care a little more about the demonstrator, a little less about your interest in my commentary
@@cinemalulliit’s a brand new instrument, I’m sure she’s not mastered the layout of controls yet, seriously.
@@cinemalulli And where I made the same assessment on you and your lack of content, it appears that you don't know what you're doing.
You have 31 subs and ZERO content.
@@entertaintech4374 new instrument? Sure? The first ps3300 are from 1977
what makes this better than serum ? serum can do lots more sounds than this
It’s not for you or me. This is mostly for collectors.
its too exp for most people , if you had a mansion house with a studio then you could get one@@huntergalloway3944
Hands on gratification. Obviously software can make any sound, but that’s not what this is about.
It is very expensive ... I still think that omnisphere sounds better@@entertaintech4374
What does digital have to do with analog?
What does a mouse have to do with a tactile hands on interface?
Show me where you get the same gratification that hardware offers, that software does not?
A 70s synth with a 70s price tag to match lol. So for the usual suspects here on youtube who have every synth in existence, congratulations, another high-priced collectible toy for you to play with!
What a crazy instrument! It would take years to figure that all out
Well, a few fun hours perhaps!
I really want this synth to sound good - but it just doesn't on any video from namm yet.
Sounds more like a filtered organ than a synth , most of the vintage Korg stuf outside of the MS/ms50 combinations weren't really known for a wide varied sound palette
I agree but I think it takes some time -- the presenter clearly hadn't put time into it -- to really harness the thing. Still, the jury is out. Sounds better here than on the sonicstate shitshow
by the presenter i mean the korg guy not ms. cat
This beauty sounds perfect... for "non mainstream" music 😉
@@huli8557 I'm not interested in mainstream music, and as a collector of many desirable vintage synths, I can say that so far this sounds very poor in comparison.
我要❤
Looking and sounding great! Thanks for the no talking just demoing! Shame they aren't able to source the original knobs, since they really made the machine look more refined.
Meow this is a synth that is worth playing.
Again another example of somebody who has no clue what they're doing. Imagine spending all the money for keyboard like this and a poly six sounds better.. I'm so sick of this modular crap. Again listen to this and again you could do more on a poly6.
On dirai les son d'un vieux Bontempi pas emballer par cette démo du tout .
Moi oui !
