I remember I used to effortlessly tie it while running to my school on late days. Years later, I find myself seeking RUclips help. Thanks for the lesson & memories RUclips 🙏
I just want to thank you guys for the past year I’ve been interviewing for internships and got one and now I’m interviewing for a marketing job. Every single time I’m putting on a suit I watch this video to make sure my tie looks nice 😂
I have been tying asymmetrical half Windsor knots for 40 years. When you tied it in what I would have considered the opposite direction, it blew my mind. Such a nice looking knot now. Thank you from San Antonio, TX.
Oh wow!!!! Thank you!!!! I never knew how to do this. My son was in a pinch and couldn’t get his tie on correctly. With the help of this video, I was able to tie his tie in under 3 minutes. I’m celebrating!!!!! #happymom #boymom #grateful #feelingaccomplished Thank you once again!!!!
This is Celestino from Angola. You helped me out a great deal. I needed somebody to tie a knot for me this morning, but I found nobody around. But I thank God because you made this video available for me. I watched it again and again and practiced until I made a perfect knot. Thank you so much.
Thank you for the interesting and informative lesson on how to tie the half-Windsor knot, especially for the clue on crossing over on the opposite side to generate the more symmetrical knot. My half-Windsor now looks the best I've ever tied it. Your explanation was very clear and easy to follow.
It took me a couple of tries but I realized I had to make the thinner side a lot shorter then the wider side. Came out great! Thanks man you’re a life saver 🙏
This is the only video I've followed that didn't just leave me with some horrible looking mess, thanks for the excellent quick and simple instructions!
53 years old and looking to shake up my tie game. Got this knot on the second try using your method. Thanks for the help!! Now I just need to learn how to put the dimple in the middle! Greetings from Texas!!
0:54 wow this is something I have never thought of, using an opposite direction wrap around to finish the tie. I tried it this morning and I don't think I'll ever go back to doing it any other way. Thanks for the tip!
I have tied many knots of the years, had to do one the other day and was so unhappy with it's asymmetrical look, that I finally looked up how the pros do it and very happy with it. Thanks a lot.
Clear and straightforward instruction. I wear a tie so infrequently that I always manage to forget the various knots when I need them. This was very helpful.
Your video is the best and easiest yet for such a nice tie knot or whatever you call it My son was graduating and couldn’t figure out how to do the tie 😂TY SO MUCH!!!
I HAVE BEEN TRYING FOR YEARS TO FIGURE OUT HOW TO TIE A TIE. ENDLESS VIDEOS. ALL OF MY TIES IN MY CLOSET HAVE BEEN TIED BY SOMEBODY ELSE FOR ABOUT THE LAST 10 YEARS. THIS IS THE FIRST TIME I'VE DONE ONE SUCCESSFULLY. THANK YOU
Thanks for a very good tutorial - just would like to know how to adjust the tie when starting out so that the lengths of both sides turn out right. Isn't the tie supposed to end up just touching the top of your belt?
Thank you so much! I started doing the half Windsor the way that another video showed, but my tie always came out short. I tried this method and got it PERFECT on my first try. Absolutely brilliant.
I don’t know if this was the best explained or the best showed or both. Either way thank you much appreciated. Seen a bunch of random videos in a hurry and finally got it with ur video.
I had to tie a tie for one of my classes and I saw urs and i was struggling until my dad came in a and helped me. Thank you for a good tutorial on how to tie a tie (Windsor knot)
Thank you for your help I finally learned to put a tie before this i saw a video many times but I didn't succeed after watching this twice I succeed I am feeling extremely happy thank you ones again 😀😀🙂🙂😃
Thank you soo much, I have tried everyone else's methods and they seemed like Chinese instructions, but yours was clear and direct, now I'm ready for some job interviews.
Thanks so much for this video! I’ve struggled for years, but with this video, I tied four ties in under 2 mins! I was shocked I got it so quickly, and was really shocked at how easy it is. I made perfect knots! I’m 47 and can’t wait to show my dad, who has always tied my ties for me 🤣🤣🤣🤣
Hi there, Thank you so much. I have to get ready my daughter for her school assembly and usually my husband does this. Since he’s away and I have to watch RUclips to do it and your video was the really useful and simplest way to do it just in 1 minute as you said! Yesss….I did it🙏🏼🤗
Thank you, sir! 56 years old here and living in Arizona so I rarely find a need for anything more than business casual. You saved my bacon this evening. Again, thanks!
I grew up knowing how to do this tie but in my adult years just left them all tied and slipping them over my head. Recently I now have new ties and this video was masterful in reminding me of the roadmap I lost. Thanks so much.
🤣🤣🤣 man I watched every video possible of different ways to tie a tie. I struggle never came out the way I wanted. Thank you man now I got it all figured out!!!
This is an easy method and my dad thinks it's hard and I cannot forget this method and I taught my dad this and he knows it so thank you so much for the method.
My problem is that the wide end sometimes ends up too short and sometimes to long, so I practice with every tie I own to figure out how to lay it out at the beginning
How did you pinch it and it becomes a perfect triangle or is it the quality of the tie Tomorrow I have an important meeting and I can’t even tie a tie😂😂😂

When is it best to use a full windsor vs the half windsor knot? Does it depend on how wide the collar is on the shirt?
Reef Knots yes thank you very much tomorrow is my prom so very useful
Reef Knots hi
Reef Knots could you show doing a bow tie, please
Hugs
I cannot figure this out for heaven's sake, it always ends up looking like some abstract art
Yea same... lol
Go step by step slowly and don’t let it get twisted, keep the wrap flat as you go, if that makes sense. Also keep it snug enough as you go along.
Make sure you're tucking the big piece through the loop at the end.
Also at the beginning the smaller side of the tie has the back facing outwards
Im not sure but go slow and then if you cant get it maybe try another video?BEST OF LUCK MATE!
Thank you, English Edward Norton. Going to nail my interview today
How did it go

Me who has been trying this for almost an hour without successfully tying the tie: 👁👄👁
Me but I haven’t been able to get it right because he’s such a stupid idiot and once you turn it over it’s backwards
I got it right on the first try you are probably not using the right length

Once my friend helped me tieing and after 3 yrs still haven't opened the knot I still use it

Manhood is an ongoing process of continual refinement, as is womanhood.

Thank you so much! I was struggling a lot but I was able to get your knot super fast.
After 16 attempts, I finally got a passable tied tie. Without this video, I would've just had knotted fabric around my neck 👍
This is definitely my favorite knot as well, I always just watch a video to make sure I’m doing it correctly
