  • Get more from your Trangia stove and save fuel by using a piece of aluminium foil to give yourself extra options. Here I wrap some potato scones in foil and warm them on the stove lid for breakfast while boiling water for porridge and coffee.
SAFETY - always make sure your stove is on level ground and is stable, not wobbling, or you risk injury from spilling hot liquids.
The aluminium foil can be folded neatly away and fits inside the pots when I pack it away, ready to use again. I usually carry a square of foil about 30cm or 12in on the sides, I can use it several times until it starts to fall apart, then it's recycled.
