    My hairdresser told me this! I was applying product from lightest to heaviest bit she said mousse should go last because it adds bounce to the hair due to its airiness. That lightness disappears if you put gel on top of it

      @SophieMarieGraf  Год назад +10

      Yes so my favorite gels are the kinky curly curling custard, prose medium hold gel, and the not your mothers hard hold gel-for mousse I almost exclusively use the NYM curl talk one!
      With that said though, techniques matter a LOT more than exact products imo so if you already have a gel and mousse, just give it a try with those vs buying something new!

      i have the same problem... every wavy/curly hair tutorial says to not brush or wet your hair between washes but i found out it works for me! every morning i put some water on my hair (using my hands) and then brush & style them as i do on wash days. it doesn't take too long and looks waaaaaay better than straight out of the silk bonnet 😅

    • @ivanamendez478
      @ivanamendez478 11 месяцев назад

      @urresyacreates I do the same thing. Take my bonnet off, flip head upside down and finger comb my roots to get the hair off my scalp and then spray it wet, comb it out and apply refreshing foam and scrunch. by day 3 I use leave in conditioner and no product.

    • @SophieMarieGraf
      @SophieMarieGraf  Год назад +2

      It depends on the look!! Applying all product before the towel will cut down on a lot of frizz, but applying mousse after the towel will give some bigger looser volume :)

      There are videos that show you how to figure out what type of hair you have. Also, some people's hair changes as they age. I had stick straight hair when I was younger and just (I'm 46) realized my hair is wavy now.
