+BetweenTwoShores If You checked out their new album "Lost Isles" they really don't. They stay true to their sound especially with this cover. They can be very technical with their breakdowns though. But check out Lost Isles it is definitely worth it. The three singles released for it are very good as well. Like I said very technically done but good sounding.

I feel like this is going to be one of those songs that a lot of elitists will hate to death because it's a complete twist of the song that might not work well in general for most of the Punk Goes... Audience. There was August Burns Red's cover of "Baby One More Time" in Volume 2, Asking Alexandria's "Right Now (Na Na Na)" in Volume 3, Woe, Is Me's "Last Friday Night" in Volume 4, either Like Moths To Flames' "Some Nights" or The Word Alive's "Mercy" in Volume 5, and now this. I don't know, maybe I'm wrong! This might be the best song on the album. Is it the best for me? Not by a long shot, but people are going to love this, no doubt about it!

Kai Solyk The problem I have with the entire album was that I feel like Fearless saw all the butthurt comments about how they shouldn't call this "PUNK Goes Pop" if they're adding more metalcore/post-hardcore bands in the album so they got almost all their bands to sound more "punkish" rather than letting them do what they want. Not too happy about that, Punk Goes Pop 5 was MUCH better than this.
And yeah, the CTE one was a HUGE disappointment because I was really hoping for the chorus to kick off something really cool in some sort of way. Plus I recently got into CTE too so I was hoping for the best from them since they impressed me with their second album. Oh well, I didn't really like this album at all but 2014 is still a great fucking year for music.

oceans ate alaska is one of my all time favorite bands and they totally pulled this song off. When they mix the singing and screaming it gives it a badass effect with the bass guitar

Metalcore is a mix of hardcore and metal, hardcore is a more hm... "heavy" punk music so... :) And the name "Metalcore goes Pop" wouldn't even be catchy enough.

Normally I don't listen to OAA but this cover is pretty good. I know many people think it's not great or it's the greatest but it's pretty catchy. I can see that there are some parts that are a bit lacking like the breakdown should've incorporated more. One thing I did is the chorus. Not him singing but the chords. I'm not that really musically inclined to know what three chords are being played. If anyone can tell me, I would much appreciate it. :)

My one gym teacher senior year of high school would let us play music on the stereo during our “free” days or whatever & I asked this black girl in my class if she liked Beyoncé & she’s like Yeah! I love Beyoncé! And so I play this song & she’s into it for like the first 12 seconds until the screaming kicks in & then she just looked completely devastated.
