This is the homework for the fitth guitar lesson of a complete course that is being uploaded over several weeks. In this lesson you can learn to play the classic guitar tune Ghost riders in the sky. This course was designed for people who already have some knowledge of the guitar and can play at least a little guitar, but can't yet read guitar music. By the end of this guitar course you should be able to read basic guitar music. This first half of the guitar course is dedicated to reading music rhythm and playing guitar music rhythm. This free guitar lesson and the entire guitar course were written for both the acoustic guitar and the electric guitar.
This guitar course is broken down into two main sections;
Part A, which will teach you all you need to know to read music rhythm and is essential to everyone who is serious about learning to play the guitar. If you read tablature (tab) you still need some way of reading the rhythm and therefore this part of the course is essential to anyone who is serious about playing the guitar.
Part B, will teach you how to read the music notes off the stave or from sheet music, and isn't important to everyone. Only guitarists who want to really improve there knowledge of guitar and music and music theory will find this useful. Most guitarists these days prefer to read the notes from tablature because it is so much easier to read and now it is the most easily available form of guitar music.

I learnt guitar with great interest about 5 years ago myself.
I wish to prostate before you as I played the first 2 lines i.e.upto 15.07 nicely on 1st attempt! Continuing to practice.
You are a great master ,and repeating without losing your patience which shows you are great. I liked this song very much.I have decided to go slowly like sipping a glass of beer and not rush through ,though my mind is itching to gulp whole thing at one go!😁

Not really, but thank you . . 😊😃
Nice, straightforward tuition, great. Small point - in the chorus the tab is correct but the notation shows an A as the lower note, which should be a C.
oh yes . . well spotted
Sir,
I request you to humbly to upload such melodious songs .
I simply liked it.
If there are such melodies pl upload with tabs
I will try . . 😊
Thank you so much
You're most welcome 😊
I just love that guitar. Whats the name of it and do you think that would be a good beginning one?
The guitar would be great for a beginner who likes that style of music, if you can get one. It is a 20 year old shine, sorry I don't know the model.
Very useful 👌❤
Thank you 🙂 😃
Best ever 👍👍

I added a question on my other you tube, but I wanted to add it here as well so that I would know if you reply to this...
First, I absolutely LOVE your courses; I’ve learned so much.
I’ve completed the very first 2 months, but am unable to download month 3. Do I need to purchase the next months?
Please let me know - thanks!
Janis
The first 2 months are free to download, but after that you would have to buy the eBooks using the buy donate link. Sorry about that.
GCH Guitar Academy Thank you!!!! It’s sooo worth it, and thanks for letting me know!!!!!

Why in @12:20:
the direction of the 2 quevers notes is a down stroke in the first double quaver in the bar?
I thought each double quiver means that the first note is a down stroke and the second is an up stroke.
1 & 2 & 3 & 4 &
As 1 &, 2 & ... are in double quever, and each & is an up stroke
If I'm wrong, how can I know the direction of the stroke?
Look carefully, it's not a double quavers as you suggest . . the first note is a dotted quaver (a quaver and a half) and the second note is a semiquaver (a half a quaver). Because the semiquaver is the fastest note in the phrase it should be played down up . . . you asked 'If I'm wrong, how can I know the direction of the stroke?', well I explain how to play it very carefully in the tutorial . . 🤔
@@guitar-academy ahhhh yea I did not noticed that.
So each first semi (or any subset) of quever in a sequence should be played down?
And regarding the other quever notes, what is the purpose of the "extra small line" in the bottom of the note near the little black circle?
Thanks
@@arik22g No problem. To decide on the plectrum direction is a little complicated and depends on things like the speed and time signature. Every time you add a line to the top of the quaver it halves it's value. 1 line = quater, 2 lines = eigth, 3 lines = sixteenth etc.
I nearly given up learning guitar. now there is sunshine cheers
stick to it . . it'll be worth it in the end . .
Sir i 'm a Beginers student and now practice e book4 book here is learnig tab but ghost riders... this lession nessesarry to learn? it's soo confuse?
No it's not necessary. If you want to skip it you will still learn to play the guitar fine . 🙂
My dear
I am 76 and already 3 lines ,I can play without blemish.
I learnt guitar myself since 5 years.
If you are young it will be easy
@@guitar-academy can i do this on electro acoustic
@@johnbence8198 Yes, you can play it on any guitar. They will just sound different . . 😊😊
Sorry sir , in this lesson bar 13 tab is telling us 4 times ( A )note but you're playing (F) note 4 times i am little confused sir?
What version of the tab are you looking at and/or where in the video ?
Very Good.🦘
Thanks 😁
Seems everyone knows this gentleman is a great guitar teacher so I may just as well not mention it. Oops.
Thank you very much 😊😃
Im no musical genius
But why do you use two bar introductions? its very annoying.
