Being a weight weenie, I use the light weight method. This involves using a thin layer of foam packaging wrap around the battery , and tape. It's not as secure as what we see in the video but it weighs next to nothing and it's almost free!
@@ryant75 I have experienced the battery dropping down the tube. But it didn't rattle and it still worked. I think if I used a little rubber cement it might stay in place better.
You can get the battery out by just removing the c-clip with the tool he used. But the plug that the batter is housed it locking the battery with the clip doesn’t look like it can be removed to use again unless you destroy that old seat post

Hello. Did your method they it place? Sounds interesting 👍

Great too know. Makes perfect sense. I used spray foam. It dried, insulted and worked as a glue.
@@ryant75 sounds like a great light weight idea!
@@ryant75 Now you're talking and you could actually remove it if need be unlike this guys permanent install!
Many thanks guys!!
Just followed this and it was super easy!!
Ta very muchly!!
wait how do u get that battery out the seatpost now
Have you got a video that shows how to remove the old battery so that you can fit the new battery the way you have shown in the above video?
That seatpost doesn't look like it's 27.2mm. I don't think you need that extra piece (that seems non-removable) for a standard seatpost.
How do you get it out?
how about providing some info on how to define the cable length ?
How does one get the battery out if you want to transfer it to another bike?

how about an aero seat tube?
where do you place your battery if you dont have a hollow seat post?
The cable for the battery is not looped around the brake, but fell into the downtube. Any tips on how to recover it? It's about 30 cm deep
Try using an old wheel spoke with hook on the end or something similar. Or turn your bike upside down and shake. Thats, "Shake the bike, not you" LOL.
does the kit you used come as part of the Shimano Di2 BTR2 battery or is it a separate kit?
No.
Will this work on a non round seat post? Venge is what I'm working with
No it won't but I recommend wrapping the battery in some sort of foam pipping and the insert it.
Does the plug come with the battery?
Apparently not, I'm just about about to install mine and wondered where this plug is....you don't get one.
what is the circumference of the battery??
audio is not as good as this guy's previous videos.
cannot stand the constant drum beating, good bye.
