I just bought a pair for my prescription glasses. I ordered transitions that go green in sunlight. Perfect lens color for the period. I'd rate them as perfect.
Side note... I tried them on side by side with a pair of Persols that we re more my normal style. I asked six men and six women which they thought looked better. The results were really interesting. All six guys liked the Persols best, but all six ladies overwhelmingly liked the Cary Grants. Made my decision a no brainer!

I just snagged myself a pair in the “Grant Tortoise” color as I believe Oliver Peoples calls it. Been looking forward to getting them since they were first revealed. Was able to find them for under $200.
where did you find them so cheep were they fake?

@@boberjonson8590 I found them on the Fashion Eyewear website. They were authentic. There was also a sale at the time, so now they’re about $220-$250 on there, depending on color and polarization.
Thank you for the insight on the sizing...about how tall are you? I'm 5'10" and trying to decide on the 50mm vs 48mm.
Is this the black model? Online the glasses seem very blue on the black model, but your glasses seem more grayish?
What colour frames and lens are in the smaller lens picture?
Yeah i agree the 50 is prob a little too big for you. I think my head is a similar size to yours and i have this frame in the 48 and it fits a bit better

Could this be considered a homage to Persol. Were the glasses Cary Grant was wearing in the picture Persols. The price is to high for a homage to Persol when you can buy Persols from the online discounters for $100 and on sale sometimes for $80.
I don’t believe the sunglasses he had on in the film were from Persol as they don’t have the Persol supreme arrow.
This subject is actually hotly debated. A Google search of " Cary Grant Persol sunglasses will show there is no clear consensus. One of the postings has a film segment that shows a side view of the glasses. Look carefully and see if you see something.
Oliver Peoples NEEDS to make the white sunglasses from To Catch A Thief that Grace Kelly wears.

I owned a pair of these Oliver Peoples Cary Grant and they are not even close to the ones that Cary Grant wore in North by Northwest. they are too large, the wrong shape and the frame color is too dark. I got the tortoise. I thought Oliver Peoples would have done a better job of replicating those iconic sunglass worn by Grant. The most accurate replicas I have found for both color, size and frame shape are the Bespoke Dudes, Donegal brown with gray lenses. they are perfect and very high quality product at a great price... under $200. he does a review of them ruclips.net/video/1vlTlDN6pws/видео.html
