From "Swooner Crooner" (1944) with Porky Pig Song is Raymond Scott's "Powerhouse" Because of this cartoon I always picture this scene when I hear this song!
Today I randomly remembered that this existed, and things are vastly improved now. To this day, any time I see anything vaguely mechanical/factory/automation, this plays in my head.
I didn’t even know the name of the song, but somehow found it using “assembly line song” and this was like the 3rd or fourth hit! Such a great and catchy song
For anyone swearing they've heard this from somewhere else you have! It was sampled in a song in Honey I shrunk the kids! It's called "test run" literally took me forever to remember where I heard it from.
Name of the song (for those missing the video's description) is Powerhouse by Raymond Scott. Ironically its Segment B of the song that is played first in this short, then the A Segment of the song.
It's the 'chicken assembly line' song in the middle I'd like to identify. Warner Bros used this short clip whenever they had a factory or assembly line scene.
0:43 i was being what why where and who recommended this fricking cartoon (because i’ve never watched cartoons in these recent days) until it pulls out the clown song
Some devices are made with a tilt sensor (I've seen them on pinball machines and they look kind of like a plumb bob in a metal sleeve) that shuts the machine down during rough handling, usually displaying the word "TILT" somewhere. Because this was common knowledge when most of these cartoons were produced, artists started using it for shorthand when a mechanical system breaks down or behaves unexpectedly.
@@lkass1107 I should've been more specific; I was talking about the scene where the last chicken cheated to punch in for work, not the assembly line scene after that; thanks for answering anyway
@@ShootYourRadio You're talking about "Powerhouse B", but that not the one I'm talking about, but nevermind, I actually found the name of the music: "Chicken Reel" by Leroy Anderson; thanks for responding anyway 😊

Many hens do have both wattles and combs. Most have small ones, but some popular laying breeds like the White Leghorn (the breed that may have inspired the hens in the cartoon) have much larger ones. Here is a link to a video that shows a flock of hens and a rooster (the rooster has a tall tail with curling feathers while the hens have fan shaped tails that stick straight up): ruclips.net/video/J-3SihINBSY/видео.html.

Me too! It was driving me nuts, trying to find the song!
Totally man. That's why I'm here
I play satisfactory and whenever my factories get big I only hear this song
Dude. Same! Sometimes, I'll sing out the tune Beavis and Butt-Head style 😎

I did the same thing. Although I got a different video reference. I'm brought here today by a classical music reference
It's called "powerhouse"
this is so great and entertaining...cartoons these days can't hold a candle to these old ones!
This cartoon here was produced for theaters, shown before the main movie. That's why the production values are so high.
"It's Frankie!!!" 😘 Swooner Crooner is one of my top 3 cartoons of all time!
I like how the last chicken was so proud of that egg waterfall

Made me so happy to see this after all these years. Thanks for the upload.
The musical theme once the machinery starts is Powerhouse by Raymond Scott. Carl Stalling did a very little arrangement on it. Thanks for this memory!
As someone who works on an assembly line this is pretty relatable (minus the chicken hatchery)
I guess you could call it an "egg plant".
I hope you have Raymond Scott's "Powerhouse" playing in the background to keep your output high ....
Love Powerhouse!
they dont make cartoons like these this days!
The machine music was also used in the first movie of Disney's 'Honey, I've shrunk the kids'
I also hear it in Rush's, "La Villa Strangiato"
Name of the song (for those missing the video's description) is Powerhouse by Raymond Scott. Ironically its Segment B of the song that is played first in this short, then the A Segment of the song.
Rush used a section of it in a superb instrumental track called la villa strangiato.
our last cartoon we watched in my WWII class on Thursday
This video was positively eggcellent.

Good thing I heard powerhouse from old cartoons rather than those kids with madness combat

The very beginning is from William Tell Overture.
Then there's a 'chicken' song (I don't know if it has a name)
Then Powerhouse
It's the 'chicken assembly line' song in the middle I'd like to identify. Warner Bros used this short clip whenever they had a factory or assembly line scene.
That's 'Powerhouse' by Raymond Scott
Thanks FuzzyJammer! I finally listened to Powerhouse all the way through and that part is in the middle of the song. Thanks again.
The chicken song before Powerhouse comes in is called "Chicken Reel".
Actually, the assembly line piece is called "Powerhouse" B, and the following piece is "Powerhouse" A.
My son noticed that two egg boxes just vanished near the end.

WHY DO THEY HAVE WATTLE AND COMB WHEN THEY'RE HENS
Jonathan Roybal Boy, I really hope somebody got fired for that blunder.
