Seeing Sana never letting Momo go after being eliminated was the most hardest part for her. I mean, look at 3:10, proof that she really cares for Momo even through tough times.

This is a survival show and someone has to get eliminated. It does not have anything to do with playing with your feelings. Also he actually liked their performance but the audience did not like so according to the rules there will be an elimination from the last losing team and he had to pick someone. He couldn't pick Chaeyoung as she was literally the ace and Jiwon was one of the best vocalists of the show.
Watching this again and it really made me stan Momo even harder. Imagine the heartbreak this moment gave her and imagine that she still holds the pressure of proving other trainees and participants in Sixteen that she deserves to be part of Twice, along with the pressure she is having with all the hates and criticism she is receiving from debut until now. Huhuhu Let's show her more appreciation and love.

This was absolutely, gut wrechingly heartbreaking. Even seven years later it's hard to watch. Look closely, you can even see JYP's hands trembling. He did NOT want to do this. He's hosted many survival shows and I've never seen him look as pained as he did here. It seems like even he felt like his hand was forced in having to eliminate Momoring here. I'm sure we're all beyond thankful now that he brought her back.
