Thanks for posting this video. I am about to build a new system in this case, and your comments about the case includes the two PS extentions was news to me. So I guess I am that one person that 1 person this video helped. Cheers, and keep doing what you do.
I have the case and looks great and works well overall. the only cons I saw when building in it was the PSU shroud and the cable management were pain, every time you need to access the PSU for something, you would have to remove the shroud with 2 tiny screws in the back and if you have a lot of cables going there, you can imagine the pain.... other than that it's a really good case
Maybe u can help me then Brian, I've been trying to get the rgb header to work and I have gotten no where, do u have any ideas??? To be fair, I do think half my issue is the fans included aren't rgb but I for sure know 2 of them are and still can't for the life of me get it to work
I have the Helios case and use pretty powerful setup in there and its working really well. This ones probably cool too. I think people like to sht on asus because they make it look cool. Never had any issues with Asus stuff. I only had issue once with my Rog thor psu, the oled screen was glitched. Returned and the warranty covered it easly no problems.
I just ordered one of these Hyperion cases ... I also picked up the Aorus Extreme and its E-ATX so I needed something large ... I had no idea it was THAT large
Fantastic case and I've been using it for a while now. I expected a little less plastic on the top and front which in my model tends to creak a little more than I would have expected from a case like this. Maybe I should have opted for a less flashy model but with more glass and metal and less plastic like the Corsair Obsidian 500D even though I should have been on a mid tower.
ive always bought steel framed super towers as the weight for when the dawg or kids bump into it and its big enough to sit on the floor next to the desk then a midi tower sitting on the desk fan whirring in your ear
I have a i9-10th 3080ti in a Helios case. Looking to upgrade to i9-13th 4090 Matrix build and I'm really torn between reusing the Helios and dropping the 5 on this Hyperion.
reuse Helios. the only weak point of Helios for me is the non-PWM fan hub that came with it (though I still use it since it's a single click for browsing to gaming or other intensive tasks). It looks nicer than this case, more refined if ever a ROG case can be one. Hyperion looks really crude and rude, if that is a look you like that's ok :) Helios is also lighter. With the budget of the Hyperion - the Helios (if you sell it) you could get some really sick fans, lighting etc and use that budget to pimp out your Helios.
I really want it ! I’m also looking at a Asus ROG STRIX B650-A GAMING WIFI AT AM5 Motherboard paired with the AMD Ryzen 9 7900X 4.7 GHz 12-Core Processor
Mine will be here 9/5, love the way it looks...I have not ordered the rest of the parts yet, want to see the case first. Planning on a build with white on interior, I think it will help shine through the side panel. Great video, I can't wait to see this thing!
Personally i think this case is step backwards for Asus. Tons of plastic and unused space, reminds me alot of Alienware a their cases that are like 30% smaller without tons of unnecessary plastic. Z11 had that distinctive Asus look was aesthetically pleasing but functionally was really bad. I wish they revisited z11 rather then doing this. To me modern case should encapsulate minimalism, even buildings are going minimalist route, but this is just a slap in the eye. Z11 did something new i mean vertical or horizontal placement, but this doesn’t offer anything new. I just wished Asus did something different.
I wonder if it would be possible to replace to ROG themed panel for a LCD screen like the Hyte Y70 has? If so that would be awesome and would definitely buy. I also wish it had the option to add the strap like the Helios has
thx for explaining about the cpu cables etc having extensions. i bought a rog thor 1000 watt psu and the evangelion helios case........ the cpu cable was not long enough to route thru the back of the case..... so i have this nice build that i can only have the cable in the front of the case lol. who was the person who made the evangelion set of parts?? maybe make sure the cables are long enough for your huge case LOL. good to know they at least tried with the newer stuff.
got one later. when i first bought the power supply........they didnt have a cable mod set out for the 4090 back then. so i didnt bother buying any other ones. btw that comment was speaking about the past lol....i long since sold that stuff. but the thor power supply released at the time came with extra short cpu cables. it could be called a defect when they release it as part of a series with a huge case but with short cables. thx for commenting tho.
Hi , its enough place for artic cooling 420 aio ? its biger like normal 420mm aio , i use be quiet 900 pro v2 and its fit because u can Move Mainboard down so can fit that aio Thx
getting ready to get this case and install an ASUS Z790 Hero motherboard with an Intel Core i7 1300K. Also Corsair DDR5 Ram at 5700 and a PNY 4070 GPU and a Corsair 1500 watt modular PSU. The keyboard will be a Roccert Vulcan mechanical and the Monitor an LG 34 inch 165 at .1. I will be running 3 front fans and 3 top fans and 1 rear fan. The Hard Drives will be WD M2 drives. 1tb for Windows 11 professional and 2 each M2s at 4tb each for games, flight sims and other programs. What are your thoughts on this build?
got the case and system is fully set up. Only using air cooling. Added 3 140mm fans on top for exhaust and system runs great. Temps stay steady at 31C.@@Prabhu_njd
Everything you mentioned is not supported by any mainstream gaming-hardware company since 2010. The demand for card readers or DVD/Blu-ray drives is just not there anymore. The best card readers (SanDisk) and drives are all external since a decade and meant to be set up this way only. Do you imagine that a brand new, top of the line gaming PC case will fit your 2005 DVD drive in the front? While 98% of users will never need to insert any physical medium ever besides a usb stick? If you are a data hoarder or working with TBs worth of data that you need to exchange regularly, maybe you are absolutely not the target audience for a brand new gaming PC case?
What rpm of the fan that case use? What about comparing it to noctua NF-A14iPPC-3000PWM ? If noctua is better, can we replace it to the asus hyperion case?
Naaa the 1000D is on another level both in terms of construction and price and size. The construction is also more accurate in every part, as are the materials used. Here, however, the price is really higher than this Asus.
I just don’t know why you would buy this when the new MSI cases are cheaper and come with far more features than this case, even the dark base 901 has far more, hard pass from me and I think ASU’s need to rethink case production. It doesn’t even have a fan speed controller on the IO like every other case at the high end that’s cheaper than this!
I come from exactly that case and I think they have two very different concepts in mind. The Coolermaster is aesthetically stunning even after years but it really has tons of plastic and after a few years of use it started to creak and make absurd noises as soon as it heated up or cooled down. I changed it to the Hyperion hoping for an improvement which in fact there was, but I certainly didn't solve it completely from that point of view given that there is definitely too much plastic in this one too. However, the internal Airflow has improved a lot compared to the Cosmos and I am very happy about this.
well, u have right with that creaking noise.... It's rly annoying, but on other hand, desing is for me personally much nicer and *adult-like* on c700m. About internal airflow for me it's hardly imaginable as both of these cases are supertower and it's rly up to fans u use inside ^^@@Sanosuke-Sagara
@@CRYPTfromCATACOMBZ So you can confirm that the Cosmos C700M makes some too many creaks hehehe For the internal flow it is true that they are both big towers but the construction of one and the other internally is a little different and the Asus offers something more than the Coolermaster (same fans)
Wow, I didn't realize HOW BIG that case will be until I saw you next to it.
Now I REALLY want it!!
I appreciate him translating the metric system measurements to both imperial and American
The Hyperion perfectly encapsulates ROG's brand identity. Large, ostentatious and in your face.

other than that it's a really good case
Lol. You must be running air cause that’s nothing on the scale of messing with a full custom loop.
i have a question can you put two 4090 in it
@@lordgrim276you can’t even SLI the 4090.
thanks bro@@AznUzer
As an owner of the case does the magnetic doors do a good job ? Or it really weak
Thanks mate for an excellent review! I needed to know more about this case before I bought it...appreciated.
Good review. I got it on sale and enjoyed the build I did in it. It did take planning, but I had no issues with wiring. I would recommend the case.
Where was the sale?
@@awesomeruben Amazon had it on sale back in April.

@@coltonbaker9563 sometimes those are bad from the factory. May have to replace it or use one from another brand or something.Good luck 😊
@jackanderson2773 are they rgb from the factory? I honestly just assumed they weren't and ignored the fan lights

Watching this video on my PC with this case. It is absolutely MASSIVE
you failed to mention that most motherboards only power one type C slot and you need an adapter card to power the 2nd type C slot.
Fantastic case and I've been using it for a while now.

Helios is a very nice case. A great change from fish tank style case.

I just got mine, well not quiet, its still on the way XD but you get the idea :3 i love its design thanks for your review K3 :3

Is there any other manufacturer that makes cases like ASUS? These cases are beautiful
as always great commentary and detail
'Monstrocity' is what came to my mind when I saw it lol
hesitating between this and a Define R7 XL
where the hell did you get an Extreme board? I have had to settle for the Hero
What fans does it comes with, and it does it come with a PWM fan Controller? Something that in the Helios was very poor!
It does yes😊

how is the dust filter? anyone using it this case can update please?

How would it go as an open loop custom
nice review , I think the helios is much better than this though
Type 4?
so, no slots for dvd-drive or internal card readers, or any 5.25 extras like cooling remote management, basically over-expensive metal cage

What about comparing it to noctua NF-A14iPPC-3000PWM ?

for stock Asus 140mm fans its decent of 115.7 m³ / h or 68.10 CFM. NF-A14iPPC-3000PWM airflow is 269,3 m³/h or 158.50 CFM plus rpm is 800-3000 max
Is 92 a normal temp for the cpu ?
No
It should never get over 100c under heavy load. Anything below is fine but if it'd idle it should be around 40c.
For that price I'd expect sound proofing, shame.
On a case that is practically semi-open?
serious?
id love this case but not for that kind of money
This case is no were near Haf 700 evo or the berserker.
