Among the Filipino food channels I have watched, FEATR is my top 1. It not only entices you to try the dishes shown, but it educates you and encourages you to be proud of the food in your place more than the food; it's the story that makes it taste better.
The thing that struck me the most is how the kapampangan cooking is similar to french cooking when it comes to having several cooking techniques involved in making one dish and the amount of time and care put into making it as well. Fascinating!
I'm happy mcmundo/basisang was featured in this channel!. I miss my hometown so much and this brings a lot of memories of my childhood! i remember when i was a kid, the sisig and tidtad there is always sold out and you need to wait to be seated to get to eat! I'm sad that the original walls and ceilings were demolished and i hope they get all the credit they deserve! Tatay here always tells you this same exact story he told your channel when you ask him how they started. You missed iconic halohalo of malta there also on the same location near the church!
this is great way to record legacy and to educate current and future generations.. thanks FEATER.. naalala ko mas lalo mga Lola ko dahil kapag fiesta lagi sila invited para magluto sa iba ibang barangay... and those days are starting to fade...
This Pampanga series is making me miss my lola, she would cook all these whenever me and my cousins spend our summer vacation and Christmas vacation in our ancestral house 😢
we have a kapampangan neighbor before but now an immigrant in the US. one childhood memory that stands out is whenever they have handaan, we are always invited and i got to taste the most delicious food ever. recently she came home for a visit and i asked her how she cooked certain foods that i remember eating in her house. she was so gracious to share to me her recipes. now that is one legacy that has been passed on. thank u aling juaning!
This is a word of mouth of our grandparents to not shortcut the cooking process. They would always tell us to cook it patiently & slow lungcas ya lasa as they say it
When it comes to food, FEATR. consistently exceeds my expectations. I appreciate how the individuals involved are often the ones narrating their own stories. Keep it up..
thank you so much for sharing, I was born and raise in Pampanga, i remembered all the Fiesta cooking , all the celebrations ,and all the love that went with it, used to prep for days ahead. i wish i paid more attention on how they cooked. now most of the best cook in my family are gone now, missing home. all the best FEATR love your Vlogs
currently binge watching FEATR's contents. madalas habang kumakain sinasabayan ko kasi nakakagutom manuod pero nfayon nakikinig ako habang naglilinis ng bahay
Subscribed! Watching from canada I’m also from Pampanga! Na home sick ako grabe😢na miss ko kapampangan food! Thank you for showing us how we take pride sa pag luluto. Tara mangan!
Fetr!!! Kapampangan ako at nahohomesick ako sa mga videos niyo, mrereport na kayo sakin! Lol! Mabuhay kayo at salamat sa pagbibigay liwanag sa pagkain at kultura natin!
I love how FEATR presents their videos. It showcases the history, the people, the food, the conversations to be had. I often get that feel-good-Sunday-homey vibe which I also get from ANC's Executive Class with David Celdran, that make you look forward to the week ahead and on to the next adventure. Cheers!
I'm listening to this body for me on what I have because I'm already realizing how self-care is doing works just preventing me from getting sick or disease.
Another amazing vlog!!congratulations!!!! You’re not only showing Filipino cuisine but it’s history..that’s sets apart from other food vloggers ..the editing the music is superb!!!love it
I can still remember during my childhood my elders will ask me to buy pititian on a sari-sari store. The pititian will be added for the Friday munggo. :D
I'm Kapampangan and grew up in Pampanga but ever since I could remember, I've been eating chicaron since birth it seems 😅 But that chicaron bulaklak tho
Actually in terms of a heritage of Filipino Cuisines specially in Pampanga, Nueva Ecija are connected because it's a upper part of Pampanga during Spanish Era. You will found some ingredients and delicacies same here in Nueva Ecija. I guess the part 2 of Pampanga showcasing Nueva Ecija also. Love here from Kuwait.
@@edipi2210 Yes mam absolutely. They made as a military base command during Spanish era and as present the Fort Magsaysay the largest military base of Armed Forces of the Philippines.
I should watch na my mom kapag nagluluto siya kapag may okasyon. I’m not fond of cooking lalo na kapag matagal so I help lang sa pagslislice then aalis na right after.
ang weird no, yung "trending" na foood vlog ay napakalayo sa ganitong totoong food vlog. it's not eating the food alone, but the storytelling it's self.
Had to pause the video dahil dun sa sinabi ni tatang. To say na dalawa lang silang nagluluto ng "tidtad iso", mukhang hindi pa siya nakakalibot sa buong Pampanga.
sasabyan da reng foreigner ing karaniwan asasali mung pamangan Pilipinas pritung manuk. Munta ka keng mall kerakalan pritung manuk titinda da. Sana misip tamu bayu resipi na pang masa lasa, masanting akakit, mura, masagli lutu. bang ena purus pritung manuk akakit mu titinda da.
A lot of our Filipino dishes do take time to cook and cannot be rushed. The longer it last the better it taste. Our sinigang , adobo and bulalo , to name a few, do taste better the following day or the next.
I already loved and liked this food before but now, I'm getting vigilant of what I'm eating because this might causes on what you call, "Eating Disorder".
majority of tidtad(dinuguan) here in pampanga is cooked using intestines as the main protein, its not something rare, I've lived all my life in pampanga and i've eaten a bunch of tidtad and people here knows how to clean the intestines properly.

Beautiful stories from extraordinary Kapampangan people! 🥲🥰😍

The culinary capital of the Philippines, Pampanga. So much to offer. Mekeni malaus ka Pampanga.
Sana may anak o apo ni Sir mundo na matuto at magpatuloy sa legacy.. Sayang naman... God bless po sir mundo

17:15 I agree. Para ma-preserve ang isang kultura, dapat maipamana at patuloy na i practice.
I'm proud to say na almost all the Kapampangan food kahit yun sa mga karinderia at street food ay masarap kasama na mga sauces at juice na prepped.
Thank u for featuring our food! Dacal a Salamat !
Thank you too!
My Kapampangan mother (Inda) always cooked this before, I still remember it vividly as one of my favorites...

Nueva Ecija was once part of Pampanga

Naalala ko tuloy si Lola. Her Pititian is the best for me kasi may konti pang laman ng baboy. Ang sarap iulam sa mainit na kanin
I remember the chicharon, laging may ganito pagfiesta. As a kapampangan laging may katay na baboy sa fiesta, then yung taba ginagawang chicharon. 😊
I love my lolo and Lola ❤,missed them so much ❤
I really really want to try that first dish. I just think of it as "dinuguang isaw". Hehe. Anyway yum!
It's so good!
Asadong matua looks yummy. 😋
I didn't know that the "kinilaw na tenga mg baboy" we ate during our childhood in Bataan is actually sisig matua. Good to know!
Wow, good job on this episode featuring towns of guagua, sto tomas& san fernando which part of downtown pampanga❤
I should watch na my mom kapag nagluluto siya kapag may okasyon. I’m not fond of cooking lalo na kapag matagal so I help lang sa pagslislice then aalis na right after.
