I've been playing a g410 lst for years and the triple diamond really isn't that unforgiving like you said. It's demanding but if you smack the heel or toe with any driver your result will be pretty poor. Down at the ball the triple diamond might be the best looking driver I've seen in years
I was just fitted for the Triple Diamond 9.0 w/ 75G White S shaft. Club speed is 98mph w/ a 15 degree launch angle. For me, this was the best performing driver EVER. Straight and long. Is it the Indian or the arrow? I had ordered the fitted Stealth Plus 8.0 but canceled after smashing this Triple D. I will update after a few rounds. These CA green fees have been adding up $$$$$.
Just put it in myself totally agree more forgiving than u think had the max ls too and didn’t find big difference on forgiveness between the 2 much prefers the shape of triple 💎💎💎 also found it longer than max ls.
Got fitted today and loved it, my numbers wasn’t as good as the flash but still love this club during and after the fitting, tomorrow onto the course 👍🏽🏴
When I went in for my fitting I initially went in thinking the Standard Max. I walked out with the Max LS because it offered the same forgiveness and distance of the Max. While fitting, I also tried the Triple Diamond and to be honest hit is pretty well. However, the driver flat out scared me. I am not the best driver and just decided to go with more forgiveness and consistency. The three models that I tried during my fitting offer a great deal of forgiveness. Best drivers of 2022

I'm getting 2700 backspin with a TSr3 and 6TX Graphite Design so I had to go with the Triple Diamond. It was 12 yds longer and still very consistent, no problems with forgiveness at all.
Regular ls it is! Love the driver. Perfect combination of distance and forgiveness. I love the matte carbon finish too. I ordered mine and got black and red.. like this so much better than the stealth. The stealth is cool, but think this offers a little better forgiveness without sacrificing distance at all. Never thought I would ever order a callaway because I have always been more Taylor made. Cheers!
It all comes down to fitting. I'm a 8.5hcp and my miss is left and I'm high spin, my numbers even on miss hits with the triple diamond were not much different than the other new drivers from the industry giants, but my solid hits were so much better.
I had a good fitting with this one. I told the golf pro who runs the local simulator place. His negative response to my excitement was kind of deflating. Hope I wasn’t just having a fluke day. I get a lot of backspin. The ls max was still getting too much spin for me
I have the TD LS … it’s not the most forgiving driver, but it’s not super unforgiving like a TSi4 or SLDR either. It’s also not crazy low spin. Spins a tiny bit more than the Max LS but a little less than the regular Max for me. Main thing is, if you want fade bias, the TD LS is for you. Then Max LS is more neutral and Max is draw biased.
Just got the TD LS and love it. I tend to hit a strong draw on bad shots and this club has helped a ton with that. I actually even hit baby fades occasionally which is rare for me. I still have to get more consistent at striking the ball at the center of the club face. But so far absolutely love it

Max LS is fantastic and IMO best driver out this year out of all the 2022 models. Did pick up the Triple Diamond and will be testing next week vs the Max LS, Stealth Plus and LTDxLS.
I like the looks way better. I like the smaller head, you should put it in the bag! I'm a 2 handicap and that will be my new driver. Tested it a couple days ago and it's money!
Because your numbers were better in studio on the “standard” LS vs. the “TD” version, I think to make the best decision on putting this in your bag or not; an on course comparison is called for. The reason being of course is because who knows, if were hitting the standard “LS” as the same that may have had even better results than the “TD” version. By the way, your results in the studio are similar to what’s been reported in the on line forums with the “standard” LS showing better performance over the “TD” for many. Really finding these types of reviews informative and fun.
Have to disagree! Mid-handicapper, 12, old as well. Hit all the new releases to include all the Stealth series, Titleist and Cobra. Fitted for triple diamond and have about 10 rounds under my belt. Forgiving and even miss hits do not drop distance. Lost over 860 revs and gained 22 yards. Willing to bet a pint, more mid-handicappers get fit for it than Max LS!
I shoot around 75, but with this new driver so far 79s, tough from the woods and rough scramble golf sucks, going back to my sim max or trying the new stealth
Obviously everyone is different so all should get properly fit. In my testing, I found the triple diamond a couple hundred rpm lower spin than Max LS, better looking, way more consistent and longer. Currently using a TSi4 though so the slightly smaller heads appeal to my eye. I love my TSi4 with oban purple, but the triple diamond was about 10 yards longer, albeit with a tensei white.
Really good review James, As a longtime Callaway club supporter I definitely would not get the Triple Diamond at my level. On a side note I don't think your tryout for the Munchkins voiceover in the new Willy Wonka play is a go. :)
For those of us old enough to have had to use wooden drivers about the size of a modern 5 wood the low spin drivers aren’t at all scary. Trouble is we’re too old to swing it fast enough to use one anymore!!!!

Interesting about the spin numbers. In the TXG test triple diamond test, it spun higher than standard LS too. Hard to see an advantage. Maybe at 120 mph?
Tour players often want a little more spin to work it/control it better. They're playing narrow fairways and deep rough. That's why you see guys like DJ playing 10.5 degree TaylorMade drivers.
As much as I do love a nice low peneterating ball flight with my driver, I'm not about to delude myself into thinking that I'm anywhere near consistent enough to play the triple diamond when the regular LS model has just that little extra element of forgiveness. But apparently the chipmunks can hit a couple of decent shots with it.
I don't think there are enough benefits to use this driver for the vast majority of golfers. I would not mind testing it, but I don't believe I would ever put it in my bag. I would most likely go with the just the max LS
I play the Triple diamond. I’m good enough to play it and it’s tremendous. It’s also not the hardest to hit low spin driver and it’s the most accurate low spin driver, which are the longer and less accurate models. The Titleist TSi4 and Stealth + are horrible for accuracy. The Triple diamond is like a Ping G425 LST. I have both .
Problem with doing that is the clubface and build quality issues the stealth has. lots of reports of permanent dents on the clubface after a single round.
Always been a TM fan and tested the Stealth at the range and on the course. Then by chance tried the Rogue ST max and switching loyalties . Sooo forgiving but with at least same distance (possibly more) - great shaft in the Tensi Blue 55g AV and can feel where the head is. Never thought I would go callaway over TM but am now a convert and mines on order
I think I have enough swing speed (105-110 mph) for the Triple Diamond. But my swing path is inconsistent and I frequently miss the center of the face. So I'd be the guy driving it in the ditch all the time.
Forget about swing speed it’s launch and spin. I’m gaming it and only swing @ 95mph and find it easy to launch and spin is good. Try it u might be as surprised as I was lol
Is it me or has Rahm’s driving accuracy has gotten worse since he switched to Callaway. He used to miss right, now he’s missing both ways and his power fad doesn’t always fad on command, like in the past.
Hi stats are supposedly better at Callaway then they were at Taylormade, oddly enough. The triple diamond drivers have a more neutral ball flight than the TMs, so that might explain the less fade...
I don't want anything that's going to make my game more difficult. I drive the ball pretty long as it is. I see no point in adding a possible 3 or so yards for less accuracy and forgiveness
The more I see new club reviews the more I think it’s very misleading. The ball has always needed to hit the middle and when things are sold as very forgiving but if you not great with a driver then nothing’s saving you
So the defending gold medal winner, Xander Schauffele and the defending PGA Champion that old guy Phil something or other don’t count as far as Tour Pros gaming the new Rogue triple diamond? It’s only Jon Rahm, I think not!

Is this not effectively callaways answer to the TSI4? Not many guys or girls on tour got that in the bag either. Marketed more towards the player who thinks they need super duper low spin when they would probably benefit from the normal LS / TSI3 with a better shaft

James it sounds like the triple diamond is too much in your head. If you can't see yourself hitting it good in your mind it won't happen on the course. You are hitting the Stealth more constantly and it seems from what I can see you feel more confident with the Stealth.

I have tried the triple Diamond on the trackman. Tried it the same day as I tried the Cobra LTDx LS and I found them equally easy to hit 🤷🏻

For me the Tensei blue worked better with it, whereas i use the white in Titleist. Shaft makes a difference with this driver

Yes at 120 it spins 1750-2200. With Mavrik I would spin it 2500/3000 and lose 20/30 yards on my best strikes
They released it because there has been some demand for the Triple diamond heads in past models

This guys is way exaggerating this thing. It’s not unforgiving at all. You need speed to get enough spin with it but it’s not unforgiving at all

This driver is not for you if you plotter it 250 down the fairway. I bet 80% of golfers would to hit it that far and find fairway.

James it sounds like the triple diamond is too much in your head. If you can't see yourself hitting it good in your mind it won't happen on the course. You are hitting the Stealth more constantly and it seems from what I can see you feel more confident with the Stealth.
