It is beautiful. I too paint with oils, starting with the blocking in stage but yours is so perfect. You have quite a talent Loved the video Terry Sita
Thank you so much for coming by and leaving such beautiful comments Terry. I really appreciate it. It's still in progress and there are many inaccuracies. I will fix it on the next video. Blessings. 😊😊🤗
Hi Armada! Eva is looking sooooooo beautiful. I NEED to watch your videos, because I find them so relaxing and inspirational. I love your musical composition playing in the background. It is a total experience of happiness while listening and watching your videos. Your videos are always so calming, yet exciting...as I watch the beauty progress...feeling amazement with my very eyes as I see it unfold...WOW!!! Is the drawing you did of a little girl named Eva the same Eva in this painting? It looks to be the same young lady, only a little older now. In any case, she is beautiful. Your blocking technique looks to be a finished painting already. I anxious to see how this portrait progresses. You never cease to amaze me with your fine mastery. EXCELLENT!!!!!!! I went back to look for the drawing and think I am incorrect...I think the drawing of the little girl I was thinking of is either Katya or Mila. They both have the same beauty whereas they look like they could be related. Sorry if I am incorrect. All your subjects are beautiful and you honor each one of them beautifull.
Oh hi again CJ! Thank you so much for the feedback of my painting and the music. I think it was Mila you were thinking about. And no, they're not related. Mila is from Russia, Eva is from Ukraine. 😀 Perhaps the angle of the photograph that makes them look similar. 😊 Thank you once again. Have a blessed day!
@@armadaliuart Thank you for writing back, Armada. As always, I thoroughly enjoy your artwork accompanied by your music. I am anxious to check back for the next video of Eva. Thank you so much for all you share with your viewers. God bless. We appreciate you. Cynthia
Thank you so much Janey! ☺️ Well what do you need? The surface? Oil paints? The brush? The surface, If you're new to oil painting then I suggest a canvas. I use canvas panel (canvas glued to a wooden panel) because I like the sturdiness. Don't use smooth surface like wooden panel. It's hard to paint on, and you will stuck in endless detailing stage mode. The oil paints basically you just need 5 colours, white, blue, yellow, red, and umber paints (umber = brown). The brush, there is a sable brush and hog brush. Hog brush is stiffer, and I use it in oil painting early stages. Sable brush is basically the one which watercolour artists use. It's useful for oil painting too to get smooth looking product. I use it after the underpainting stage is completed. Medium (linseed oil, turps, mineral spirit) careful with turps, as it's dangerous for health. you can leave it now, you can paint straight from the tube. If the paint is stiff and hard to spread, you need to add little medium so it's easier to apply. Good luck to your painting journey! ❤️❤️😊
Hope you like my first oil painting video guys. Have a blessed day! ☺️
