It was an old long-held thoughts that Filipinos only eat lechon at special occassions. In Cebu, everyday people can go to any public market or anywhere just to eat lechon. Lechons are roasted everyday in Cebu, especially in Carcar City, Talisay City, Mandaue City, Lapulapu City where lechon houses and lechon stalls are very common.

I could almost survive on Lumpia alone. It has always been my favorite.

Is this used to be “Larshan,” the House of Lechon? Way back 1984-1987.

In Cebu we use only venigar or ketchup to enhance the flavor since the Lechon itself has already the flavor. In Luzon they used the liver sauce as the Lechon meat has no flavor and that’s to add taste.
