Am I correct that is just a monophonic synth generated by a single note over the 1/4” guitar input? I looked at the Helix hardware and do not see a 13-pin cable input for something like my Godin synth access guitar or a Roland pickup. I keep waiting for something other than a Roland guitar synth to come along (I have one of their old, discontinued dedicated pitch-to-midi converters with 13-pin inputs). I was told by a former Line6 audio DSP person who jumped to my employer (one of the FAANGs) that Line6 has many synth enthusiasts on staff. I just don’t get why they create all that cool DSP power but never include full, 6-pin pitch-to-MIDI in their high end devices. AxeFx is similar. I guess the market just isn’t there for it and I am an oddball.

Yes, you are correct. A synth option like the one you descxribed would be cool indeed, but synth guitar seems to be somewhat out of fashion these days. But we'll see what the next iteration of the flagships will have to offer.

Can you use any synth sounds on stomp xl or lt?

The patch I'm demonstrating in the video will also work on a stomp and an Lt. Just follow along with what I'm doing.
You can use any other synth from the legacy section as well on these devices.

Cool video! I currently use an EHX Synth 9 and Meris Enzo for monophonic synth goodness!
