I've just begun learning about value investing, and I've found that many good stocks are undervalued despite their intrinsic value. If you had $200,000 to create a strong investment portfolio, which stocks would you choose for better returns?
I think a good investment portfolio should have three basic things: ETFs for diversification, dividend stocks for cash flow, and leading tech stocks. With your budget, it's a good idea to talk to a fiduciary financial advisor for expert advice.
I agree with you. As an early investor in NVDA, AVGO, ANSS, and LRCX, my financial advisor's advice was incredibly helpful. Over the past 7 years, she has helped me find stocks that did 10x multiple times. With her help, I've grown my portfolio to over a million dollars.
I'm cautious about giving specific recommendations since this is an online forum and everyone situation is unique, but I've worked with Melissa Elise Robinson for years and highly recommend her. Look her up to see if she meets your criteria.
Thanks for sharing. I curiously searched for her full name and her website popped up immediately. I looked through her credentials and did my due diligence before contacting her.
Mohan Sir, I've recently begun following you and have become a dedicated fan. Your videos are incredibly informative, and you're making a significant contribution to the Tamil community here in the USA, especially for first-generation immigrants like myself. Thank you sincerely for sharing your valuable insights.
I have been a great fan of yours, Vijay sir. The way you explain your videos in Tamil is quite funny and, at the same time, very fascinating. It has helped me understand the nuances of finance better, and my perspective on money has completely changed. Please continue to upload videos and make us financially sound and knowledgeable. I would like to ask you a favor. Can you make a video on “Reverse Mortgage”? It is quite popular in Western countries but was introduced in India several years ago. I have noticed that most RUclipsrs have not covered it. If you can cover it, it will be extremely helpful to understand the intricacies through your video.
First of all thank you.. Your channel is a guiding light for my financial literacy. I have watched almost all the videos in your channel. I genuinely can’t answer the following question regarding withdrawal after your retirement. Say you are 30 & You achieve your planned corpus by the age of 50 and you have decided to retire. Your portfolio consist of 70% index and 30% doesn’t have any stock exposure. Assume Index is giving 12% in average but others giving you only 6-7% returns average but fairly consistent returns year on year + relatively secure unlike Index. You outlined in many of your videos that as you are close to your retirement- You should move your corpus gradually to safe investment ( which with my knowledge can’t give more than 7%). My worry is - If I move my corpus to safe zone won’t the value of my retirement corpus (money) dwindle?? Won’t I run out of money before my expiry 😊 in this world ? Please clarify. Thanks in advance. And suggest me a book sir that I can start with about finance.
That is why you should target at least 25 times your annual expenses as retirement portfolio. The more the better. Let's say that you have achieved 25X, then you would withdraw only 1X for your annual expenses, which is 4% of the total portfolio. If your portfolio grew by 7% for that year, you are withdrawing only 4% of it and your extra growth stays invested and grows even more. This way you will never run out of money after retirement.
Also, Vijay's recommendation in one of the Q&A video has been to move next ~5 years expenses to Fixed Income (FD kind of low return and low risk instruments), not the entire corpus.
Excellent Video Vijay Sir. However I have few questions about gold 1) We understand that gold can never beat equity return. In such a scenario why central banks of different countries keep buying tonnes and tonnes of gold. If it is good for a nation it is should be good for its citizens also correct 2) Gold is said to volatile and return is unpredictable. In this scenario why US Federal Reserve holds over 8k tonnes of gold and Indian Reserve Bank holds over 820 tonnes of gold. All these are not accumulated suddenly correct 3) Along with war tension and Indian rupees getting massively hit another reason for high gold cost in India is huge import tax of 15% on gold is also another reason I believe 4) Why all the countries try to accumulate or accumulating gold always. Why they are not selling it or atleast not stopping to buy. 5) Though US has put sanctions over Russia and it is said that 300 billions have been blocked, still Russia is very cool due to the gold reserves it has?? US, Germany, Italy, France and Russia are the 5 top countries whose central banks hold more gold. Please as a financial expert it would be great if you share your point of view on the above points. If possible please think on these angles and post a video for all to understand better. Many Thanks

If i have a look at balance sheet, it is not balanced at least😂. My problem is even if i took the annual statement from company, i couldn’t make decisions. Which one i need to choose for short term or long term. I read the book “the financial intelligence”. So learnt basics how to read Income statement, Balance sheet, Cash flow statement. So please help me. After watched your first video i started to invest. Thank you.

Which is better to invest from Australia for PR visa NDQ for NASDAQ100 with 0.48% management fee or QQQM US etf with 0.15% management fee. I am worried about the US estate tax when investing on QQQM - US etf. Please suggest which one to choose? thanks in advance
Hi Sir, Is cryto investment is legal in US market, If Yes how much you have invested in percentage and is it safe to invest in crypto from India. Can you pls create one video related to your crypto investment journey and strategies
Hello Mr.Vijay learned lot from you thank you . I have request want to know about how to invest in indian broader index from US in indian currency (not real estate, gold or pension plan and not equivalent index in US like INDA or INDY kind of). Feels like invest one time and forget for 25 year and going back to india after 25 year to retire itself best option, after seeing your last video thanks for that . Please make detailed video starting from NRE/NRO ..zeroda KYC and stuff , feels like not simple as fidelity and schwab over there .
I would invest in the country where I am living. I would move the assets only when I move to the other country. Managing a trading account in India while you are here in US comes with its own head ache (FATCA, FBAR filings etc.). Keep it simple. Just invest here and liquidate when you leave.
Mohan anna, I am confused now. Can you please assist me on the below situation. I was doing incremental investment in Nvidia, Adobe kind of companies. Especially when Nvidia reached 25% of growth I did squared off around 730€ because of my strategy of closure but Nvidia gone like anything. So my question is when we do long term investments do we need to cut it at 52 w new highest or not? When to cut and re invest in long term investment.
I'm new to investing, and l've lost a good sum trying out strategies I found in online tutorials. I would sincerely appreciate any recommendations you have.
