- Project Dream is about bringing back the Nintendo 64 games Banjo-Kazooie & Banjo-Tooie back to life through a series of nostalgic cinematic trailers.
Gruntilda's Lair is the lair of the evil witch Gruntilda before her first defeat by Banjo and Kazooie. During Banjo-Kazooie, most of the game is set in this massive area. Within the lair itself, there are entrances to the nine different worlds. Outside of these nine worlds, there are a number of different rooms and sub-areas. The hat on top of the lair is actually a tower, which ultimately leads to the roof where the final battle against Gruntilda takes place in Banjo-Kazooie. Unlike most main antagonists' lairs, Gruntilda's Lair actually serves as a hub world of the first game.

And just like that, we have completed the Banjo-Kazooie Remastered series with all 9 worlds & hub! Thank you to all 1.35 million views & 11.6k subscribers over the last 8 months! We are not done yet though, the plan is to release a fully stitched together video of the entire series (with new shots & improved visuals based off feedback), as well as posting 2 new shorter trailers with the best shots from all of the videos. From there I will be looking into producing a Banjo-Tooie Remastered trailer (no plans to do each individual level yet) and a surprise video sometime later in the year. Can’t thank everyone enough for their support over the last 8 months!

You've made nearly all the assets required to make a functioning banjo remaster. All we need is someone crazy enough to take these 3d models and turn them into functioning game worlds with scripts, enemies, etc...
Don’t think I’m qualified but all they need at this point is event flags and a character controller, and enemy ai.
But if course we run into a new problem, getting the rights to the game. You're talking making a deal with Microsoft which will give you the partial right (because they will want to be in charge of this project) to a game they outright took over (and ruined).
@@rubberbandba11craftand a lot more. Camera scripting for example, it can make or break a game like this and takes a lot of time. I would do it to be honest, but it would take a lot more than just me to make it into an actual game. We could make the first world or something like that and hope to find more people to help. But i doubt that this is a journey the op want to take
@@diegogazolla7188 fair tho i could argue a camera controller script is a part of the character controller and the floats to track collectibles are easy enough, the level manager is also something i neglected to acknowledge
@@DrummerboyRichardson this is a fan project and not a nintendo one. and nuts and bolts was a rare decision not microsoft. tho microsoft did ruin conker. i think theyd be thrilled to have this handed to them on a silver platter. tho the shading could be more saturated/colorful
This used to be my favorite game along with Ocarina of Time. I played both games flat out every day back then when I was like 6 or 7. I’m 30 now and still play these when I have time.
What a time to be alive, I think this community will accomplish his mission only until the game is playable (I know what you said but we need that)

Banjo-Kazooie is one of my favorite games of all time. I recently 100% completed it on the Nintendo 64 app for Nintendo Online on the Nintendo Switch, much like I did about 25 years ago on original hardware on the Nintendo 64. Some jumps and camera angles can be frustrating as hell. Getting that jiggy inside the propellor of that ship in Rusty Bucket was a nightmare!
Incredibly well executed (as usual with these recreations)! I caught myself with my mouth wide open watching this in amazement. You somehow managed to capture the same sense of wonderment and ominous feeling you get when traversing through the Lair. Keep up the wildly awesome work!! Thank you, yet again, for bringing us back to the child-like wonder of this incredible series!

@@projectdreamstudio In all seriousness, and without the Grunty style rhyming, this made me smile. This is one of the better and more fun hub worlds from the games I played as a kid. Up there with Peach's castle in Super Mario 64 and the hub worlds in the classic Spyro trilogy for PlayStation. I don't think Grunty's lair will ever *not* make me happy in some way. And the Isle O' Hags is nice too, but there's just something so special about Gruntilda's lair.
Amazing job, Banjo-Kazooie is my favorite n64 game, and I think you perfectly re-created it.

You have no idea how much i loved this game. It reminds me of good times when I was young just being a kid. This is the only game my dad every played with me and we both loved it. We played through it at least 20 times... Even hearing the music makes me happy
I hope Banjo gets a remake one day, OR a N64 decomp and the community builds it back up just like this.

Man...I can't even explain how awesome this is. You even made the levels from 1:11 even spookier than it already is. That area low-key always creeped me out as a kid!😆Now the true icing on the cake would be to see a reaction of these trailers from the original game devs!

This made me realize how much I want an HD remake of B-K. Even though you didn’t show off the entirety of the lair but how could you, it’s massive. However, what you showed was quite impressive and extremely detailed! Well done! Be proud! I’d love to maybe see a part 2 one day of some areas you didn’t cover if it’s not too much of a request!

You managed to give the entire location a completely new vibe while also keeping the feel the original locations had
It looks so much more like an actual "lair" rather then a gigantic cave system with all those columns and stone structure, it feels like a castle built into a cave now, and I love that idea
Some sections even feeled like if their not to much underground, but more like a opened area (talking about Statue island), which adds a lot of very well fitting variety to it
I also love the excessive use of ivy everywhere it fits the location very well
The textures are perfect in every occasion aswell
Very well done, can't wait to see you continue with Banjo Tooie

It's amazing how this game and Mario 64 were so influential in this Era that even though most games didn't have a hub world like them, I just kinda thought this was how all games were supposed to be.

Some consider the hub to be the 10th world in a sense, and I totally understand why. Even without notes, it embodies the exploration, great level design and ambience of the game as good as any of the other worlds. This must have been a massive undertaking. I applaud you for all the hard work you’ve put into recreating the worlds of this special game! People like you keep the fun and the artistry of the series alive and remind the world of its impact!

The click clock wood was my absolute favorite, with the shifting seasons and the eagle, what a great game.
