If you ever find yourself worried, ask yourself; can i solve the problem? If the answer is yes, then you dont need to be worried, if the answer is no, there is no need to be worried. Remember, you never need to be worried❤

    1) Aware of what I'm thinking
    2) Shift my thought pattern into something wholesome. Think of a past experience that makes me peaceful.
    3) Think about the disadvantages of negative thoughts, such as hurting myself and others.
    4) Pay no mind, Pay no attention. Don't give attention to that thought.
    5) Relax your thought process. Think of love, compassionsion, gratefulness.
    6) Only if 2-5 doesn't work, use this: Crush your thoughts with awareness. This should not be done by everyone.

It changed my life entirely. I have made a habit of watching this channel multiple times a day and that brings me inner peace, something I had never felt before. I just watched your amazing tricks to control our mind. Those were really good. I would like to share one of my remarkable experiences. 3 months back, I was listening to a random song. The whole day it was struck so badly in my mind that I couldn't let it go. It kept on distracting me during my studies. So, I actually tried that 5th step without knowing abt its existence. I forced my mind to stop thinking about it every time I could hear it. Initially, it was difficult, even though its frequency increased with more suppression I was persistent and faithful . Sooner I felt a tight band around my head squeezing it with my increased efforts to prevent my thoughts. And then I slept unconsciously ( coz it was 12 am ). When I woke up the next morning, I was surprised to find that the ringing sound is no more. I couldn't even recall the lyrics even if I tried recalling. It was as if my brain permanently deleted that memory. I was just fascinated by this incident and thus would like to share it with you guys as well. Hope you found something worthy.

Bhante thank you kindly, practicing the teachings and lately methods of how to control the mind have led to many small steps that concluded to a calm and understanding conversation and arrangement with the landlord of the small house I rent(the one we had gone to the police) My contract got renewed for a little more time that gives me time for finding a work that will lead me to a better quality of life. Till now I hadn't found another place to go so I have gained some more time, before deterioration🌼⌚🌾

I'm so glad I found this. I have been actively acknowledging rough thoughts but at the same time determining where it actually comes from. Like what brought on such strong thoughts in the first place. Most of the time I can't work out why they suddenly appear but I do make a conscious effort to stomp on it the moment I realise its in my head.
Your tips are very helpful and though I don't know much about Buddhism I do appreciate helpful mindfulness.

To cope I often favour indulging in distractions such as watching The Dodo clips about rescuing shelter dogs destined for enuthanasia. Do what you've got to do etc.

Hola Thero. Great message today. I totally understand what you say but regarding desire in my mind I don't feel it as a negative emotion and I am experiencing a conflict inside of me every time I have these types of thoughts. I feel that desire is an emotion that is needed in our lives besides the sexual desire also as a motivation to keep doing the things we love. Also if a lay person that is in the spiritual path surrender the desire then how can someone make a relationship without this element in his life? It's a struggle lately I am dealing with because I feel that the emotion of desire it's not negative or harmful. Thank you Thero for your support and kindness.. You are my master and a light in my heart. Metta meditation has changed me following your teaching.. Blessings to all the sanga in the monastery.. Namo Buddhaya ❤️♥️🙏💜

I do not recall where I heard it, but when you catch yourself thinking a negative thought, immediately say out loud or in your mind, “cancel, cancel” and them smile to let your subconscious know that you didn’t mean that negative thought. It really works. In fact, I thought it to my daughter and grandchildren and at first they laughed at me but I catch them doing it all the time 😊 because it works.

    1. Aware of our current thinking, what is it ?
    2. Shift negative thinking to peaceful thinking
    3. If can not do #2. Think about the disadvantages of negative thinking
    4. If #3 not work. Pay no attention and no mind to negative thinking. Like a father not react to falling child in case of no damage to child
    5. If #4 not work. Relax your thinking process. Loving kindness, compassion to current thinking process, do not try to distract
    6. If #5 not work. Final step not recommend for everyone. Crush your thought with awareness -> I will not think about this anymore .
-->>> Do all Things in order, do not jump to final solution immediately !. Wish every one a joyful path

Thank you for the valuable and profound teaching! I watch your videos as much as I can. One thing I would like to mention is that the background music is distracting. I would really appreciate it if you could record your message without the music. Thank you so much!

Thank you for this video. I do understand these theories, but I lack the practice and power to put all of them in reality. Would there be any tips for these steps in practice? I can't really have the method to place those bad thoughts aside. They keep rushing into my mind... Thank you so much

Actually I mostly use the last method to control my mind whenever I had bad feelings. Then if it isn't works, I use the rest as alternative ones. Now I know that I do inverse order and that's why I feel down and be reluctant whenever I force myself to stop think about bad experiences. Thank you!
