My favorite launch is Black Rock. Yes it's harsh, nasty, and has unpredictable weather changes. But on a perfect flying day it's impossible to beat. I've also set all my PB records at Black Rock. I also have to include LUNARS's Snow Ranch as that is my OG High Power launch site.

North Carolina Rocketry is on the east coast side of the state. Their Bayboro field is very similar to MDRA and waivers to 17,000 feet. If you’re on the east coast, they’re worth checking out.

Tripoli Colorado second in most LDRS launches. Highest ground level of any Tripoli or NAR site at 8,800 ft. Beautiful views no trees. Buffalo (Bison) herd often on site.

Love coming to Hartsel, John! Thanks for keeping the launches coming. I got my level one there and your signature is on the paperwork. The launch site is huge, flat and surrounded by incredible mountain views.

If you come to NCR and want a place to ship rockets, let me know! I live about 50 mins away and try and make it to every launch.

Pawnee National Grasslands… sorry you missed mile high mayhem. It was a week after NSL in Alamosa. The first thing that hits you is the humbling vastness of the launch site. The launch site sits in a huge bowl carpeted by short grass prairie. There's nothing there to hide a rocket. Alas, if there's a good moisture year, the place is stunningly green until it dries out and becomes a range fire hazard. Joe and Jon of NCR run the show and are continually challenged with fire conditions, but when they launch, it's rocket heaven. All the rocket heroes in CO bring their big guns. Art Hoag and George Barnes brought a couple N’s to Mayhem. Now that I'm level 3, I'll be launching M’s here as they have a big standing waiver. I suggest checking out videos from George Barnes to get an idea of how amazing this place is. Here's his latest from Mayhem: ruclips.net/video/a21NpbgoN64/видео.htmlsi=gJOh2GNUu7C34U59

Tripoli Southern Colorado (SCORE) has a launch site SW of Pueblo, CO. Huge, flat high desert terrain with a 12k waiver. Great family club scene punctuated with level 2 flights. NARAM will be there 1st week of August. Beware the dry washes north and west of the launch site. Many a missing rocket out there. I learned how to use GPS tracking while wandering around cedar trees and scaling steep hillsides.

The Canadian sites are pretty cool but the hobby is so small here that an LDRS would be difficult to pull off successfully with regards to the infrastructure. The Lethbridge, Alberta and Gagetown, New Brunswick sites have high waivers and are both ones I want to attend at some point. The Quebec ones are pretty bad for recovery though.

My local club Tampa Bay Rocketry Association is literally 15 mins away, blessed to have that site. Next closest one is Spaceport Rocketry Association in Palm Bay about 3 hours away. Here in Fl, you can drive 6-8 hours and you're still in florida :)

It's not a certified configuration, but with a hubcap and CTI nozzle carrier you can fly 75m CTI, Aerotech, and Loki reloads in the same case.

Tripoli Houston South Site. Very close to the coast near Galveston. Old rice fields with almost no trees. Currently 17.5 waiver and we have an application in play for a 40k waiver. Wayyyy better than Hearne IMO.

Atta boy Jesse for knowing your stuff. That Rocket guy is a space cadet. I ordered a black decal from him for a blue rocket and he sent me a blue decal lol. All kidding aside it was much appreciated. Snow Ranch is outside of Stockton Ca in the Central Valley. In the fall, winter, and spring it’s a great place to launch. You guys should drive up sometime.

Some clarification on the differences between Snow Ranch (LUNAR) and the Fresno/Dairy Aire Tripoli Central California Site. Snow Ranch has the cow pies - don't slip and fall! It is a working cattle ranch. If the ranchers have meat for sale, get some. Sometimes the bees swarms, and sometimes the weather isn't perfect, but it is always a beautiful place to be launching rockets. Little House on the Prairie was shot there.
As for Taylor moving to Fresno - get ready for blistering heat all summer long and poor air quality. The TCC launch site is awesome, though, and so is the club. The waiver is a tad higher than at Snow Ranch. Maybe we'll see the AGG there for LDRS 43?
