12/01/25 - Nathan Vella - Resolved: Slaying the Sluggard

Proverbs 24:30-34
Last week we looked at the unwavering resolve of the 'Blessed Man' from Psalm 1. He was careful to avoid allowing 'the world' and the 'Devil' to fill his mind and shape his pursuits. However, the Bible says we have a third enemy that is working to put out our fire. It's the enemy closest to home - our flesh. We often forget that the greatest hindrance to an intimate walk with Christ is ourselves! And so we meet the 'Sluggard' of Proverbs. Even if we think we are hard-workers, his portrait is a sobering warning to us all. So again, we must be Resolved in our spirit if we are to draw closer to Christ today and in the days ahead.
