  • Japanese descendants in Mexico surprise me and run 42 km with me. I find out that Acacoyauga is a Japanese town in Chiapas, the last state in Mexico in the 3,000 km Challenge. I get emotional as I pass through the town together with dozens of local runners. I realize that I started the challenge as the only Japanese person without knowing that the Japanese descendents of Acacoyagua were waiting for me the entire time.
