Because is Everett really going to keep you away from a possible generational and best player in the entire class. Just bc the bears have 2 TEs doesn’t mean they shouldn’t pick one, especially with his skill level and his ability to line up as a receiver. I personally think he is the best player in the entire class and if he gets to 9, he should be taken.
But imagine him with Bowers. That's one more threat you have to account for. Plus Shane loves using multiple tight ends and Everett may be a short term option.
Brock Bowers in the Silver and Black was easily the steal of the day 1 draft. Imagine taking Bo Nix before a monster who’s basically the next Kelce or Gronk.
@@BoomorBust there’s Dallas Turner, there’s Laitu Latu of course there’s a pass rusher there. They have enough receiving weapons so if they want to make Caleb succeed even more, they need to shore up their OL and get better on defense, simple really
@roshan2865 And neither of them are top 10 prospects. You don't need a body. You need an impact player. The OL is fine besides one spot and you aren't picking a center at 9 either. Especially when you signed two in the off-season.
The amount of people that think just bc we have Kmet and Everett means we shouldn’t pick a TE is crazy to me. Bowers legitimately might be the best player in the entire class, and he can also play receiver. Also, you can tell when someone says that the Bears should draft OT2 in the class over someone like Odunze or Bowers that they don’t know how football works😂
Very very underrated is the fact that Josh Allen did this type of work before he broke out. Everyone simplifies it to Diggs "making" him good and that's just surface level discussion. Josh Allen darn near rebuilt his throwing motion and mechanics with guys that had a background in golf. Obviously, decision-making is a mental thing, but as far as accuracy he transformed.
Kmet & Everett at TE, Allen & Moore at WR, they need long term solutions at OT you can get playmakers in the 3-5 rounds if needed but they need a lot of trench help .
Bears don’t need to make this complicated. Draft whomever either the best WR is available to give Williams (still assuming he’s the pick) all the weapons possible, or the best LT to protect his blindside.
I say William's is too small to be out of the pocket without getting hurt. I don't see William's working out over time. Bagent will see alot of starts.
Brock Bowers is expected to be the fourth receiver picked and four quarterbacks picked in the top six picks. Unless Titans pick Bowers or a surprise trade up happens the Bears can get him at pick 9.
I think it’s funny how they always compare Williams to mahomes and these guys with awesome arm talent but people always forget Aaron Rodgers back in his prime Rodgers arm strength and talent was second to none.. AR 12 was the player that made this play style legit and the reason mahomes and all these new players try to mold there game after him.
Odunze is a WR1 who would be a WR3, and Bowers is a maybe a TE1 that would be TE3....WR3 is 88 times more valuable than TE3, and 72 times more valuable than TE2.
TE is not a need for the bears, Kmet is pretty solid. I would take a WR or OL,DL
He isn't strictly a tight end. You can use him in the slot, as an h back or tight end. He is just an offernsive weapon.

Passing up on a possible generational TE and/or Odunze for a OT is the dumbest thing the bears can do.
The bears have a really good RT and a serviceable LT. Take Odunze
Idk i think Kmet is a solid TE. Although, another weapon for Caleb wouldnt hurt
I'd be more thank okay with Bowers tbh. I prefer one of the "big three" wideouts, but I think we can satisfy a lot of needs with #9.
I think them not even mentioning Kmet is straight up disrespectful
They clearly mentioned Kmet and Everett 8:00

Dak presscott also had Dez Bryant his rookie year
I like it but Bears have Kmet who's actually a pretty good TE. Dude averages like 10 yards a catch and consistently puts up decent total yardage
Nothing DO said can't be done with Kmet and Everett. I would be fine with taking Bowers, but the reasoning isn't that strong.
Taking a TE in the top 10 sounds like a really bad idea that could get you fired
I think Caleb Williams is going to have a lot more to do with your job security than taking a TE lol.
Taking the best player in draft will get u fired how lol
Bears have one top ten tight end and another top 20 tight end. I wouldnt mind Bowers, but id rather have Oline, WR, or Dline.
I don't mind a two TE two WR formation.
Kmet will be really good with Caleb
Caleb is doing this throwing thing because he's probably one of the first going to be rookie QBs that can afford it lol.
Bowers reminds me of Urlacher with his freakish traits.
I say William's is too small to be out of the pocket without getting hurt. I don't see William's working out over time. Bagent will see alot of starts.
I say your brain is fried beyond repair 💀 gtfoh with that nonsense
TE is the least of the Bears' concerns. Stay in your lane, Orlovsky. You're way off on this one.
Man, rome or a pass rusher.
