I may be getting a free veiled chameleon so it's great to have awesome videos like this! He has already been very well cared for and has everything he needs but it's still awesome to have helpful videos at my disposal
I use flood bulbs an mercury vapor bulbs for my Tegu but I have the flood bulbs on a dimmer switch could probably use a dimmer switch with the 100 watt baskomg bulb an additional the temperature that way as well
Question here...being here in Chicago the winter months are very hard to control humidity. Aside from putting live plants in the enclosure, what other way can i keep the humidity up? Planning on getting a Veiled chameleon. Thanks in advance!
I’m also in Chicago, using the pvc enclosure has helped make a big difference! I would recommend the 2x2x4 from zen habitats: www.zenhabitats.com/collections/zen-habitats-reptile-enclosures/products/2x2x4-pvc-reptile-enclosure-1
This lil chameleons that was just surrendered to me was eating fz peas carrots!! 😢. Now with your videos she / he has much better life . Ty so much 💓 💗 love your animals ❤️

Thank you for telling me what to get
Im very happy to hear all these tips. My chameleon got a infection because the humidity was low. Stay safe chameleon owners!
Question do chameleons need a heat lamp or can it just be a uvb light?

When u get into reptile care u also will likely land urself with 5 species of bug farms
And a cool most vaporizer with a humidity controller you can specify the range an have it turn on and off the cool mist vaporizer
That’s so nice!!! Thank you!
What do you do when you have a blackout? Did you buy a mini generator?
This video was so helpful. Hopefully getting a Veiled Chameleon by the end of 2023 and it's great to know the items I will need! Thanks Tricia

Also the Zen labs tank you recommended is so awesome but I feel like setting it up is so overwhelming with the foam. 😅
