First time I met Ice cube. I worked security for the rich and famous at the Phonecian resort in Arizona. Met Ice cube and George Clooney. Ice cube told me he was lost and needed a ride to the main entrance. I took them in my golf cart. Ice cube told me to take my time and to take the long way. I took Ice cube and George Clooney for a ride in the dark around the golf courses. They were filming Three kings at the time. Saw Ice cube again last weekend at Boo Bomb 8. Pretty good performance.

Hes really not gangster though and im sick of corny ppl in the comments talking about how G he is lol hes an admirable man but hes not a gangster and never was.
Everyone who knew Cube growing up knew he was a good kid who stayed in school and at home. The gangbangers on the block thought he was special needs bc he was always inside.
He was a straight A student who went to college to be an architect and never once got arrested for a criminal offense. When he got famous with street lyrics the OGs and elderly in the neighborhood were heartbroken. They loved seeing Cube grow into a bright young man away from street life, only to get on a pedestal and make money off the life he tried his whole life to escape in the end.

What is said about the parks is so true. I grew in a different city on the east coast and when I was a kid the department of recreation was big. They had all kinds of games and stuff for us to play. We used to play volleyball with the neighborhood girls right in the hood. One summer they even brought in a large above ground swimming pool. But by the time I reached my early 20's all gone. Difinantly had an impact on the neighborhood

Funny how for years we were conditioned to believe things were just getting better and better, and in some ways they were, but in a lot of ways society was actually regressing. The people at the top of the power structure have a vested interest in making things appear to be progressing better than they actually are. Hence all the superficial level virtue signaling rituals taking place while conditions on the ground continue to worsen.

I told a friend the same thing with my hometown in Alabama. In the 80's there were multiple community programs, likely little league sports, public swimming pools etc for youth. When that left and crack took over everything slowly decayed. Hasn't recovered since. I feel sorry for the disadvantaged youth of today. They are so underserved and neglected

When I was a kid, there was another kid that ripped his winter jacket then blamed it on me saying I beat him up and it ripped in the fight. His mom came over to my house and my mom gave her $40. I didn't do it, we went to the neighbor kids house that I walk home with everyday and they agreed that I didn't do it. His mom wouldn't give the money back after it was proven I didn't do anything. When he got a new jacket I beat him up and that night I broke a bunch of windows in their house because I was so mad they stole from my family. We didn't have much and we didnt eat for a couple days because of that $40. I still don't feel bad about it actually lol

I used to fantasize about robbing their house so they knew how it felt lol im glad I never acted on that. But ruining his new jacket that my family paid for felt amazing.
