Beautiful enclosure. Personally, I would be a bit cautious about the tilted/overlapping tile on the nest box. I have seen that type of thing shift and fall. Maybe a hole of appropriate size cut in the tile to still allow access but with the tile sitting firmly? Just a suggestion from an old Canadian tortoise keeper. LOVE your channel, amazing content.
I'm just amazed at how you guys care for your animals! They're not your "pets" but you want them to have the best life possible when in your care. And it shows in their activity and health. I also get a kick out of your girls helping along and smiling and laughing and your positivity whenever they do something. Great parents to both humans and reptiles!

That's a lovely enclosure. It's comfy, and interesting. Places to be private, and places to display. Coconut and his ladies can watch the visitors from safety.

This video just showed up on my home page. This was a great video & your enclosure build was awesome ! I heard the enclosure size was 6ft long…. But didn’t get the full enclosure measurements on that. I was just wondering because I will also be getting an Ackie in the near future & the size of your enclosure you built looks perfect !
I would question using artificial plants in a tortoise enclosure. Tortoises will try to eat ANYTHING, especially if it looks like a plant. I had a Texas tortoise that would eat the plastic and lead tinsel that hung from our Xmas tree.

What an absolutely gorgeous set up. I’m getting ready to order three enclosures from Toad ranch my. They are the best IMO. Thanks for sharing. 😁
My one year old red footed tortoise has a grow tent enclosure I made for her it is 4’x2’x6.7’ I got plexiglass cut to build a tub type thing on the bottom that was 3.5’x2’x3’. I put a layer of rocks and screen on the bottom filled it with top soil and planted a verity of grasses clovers and some flowers for her. I then made a fence around that so she couldn’t fall into any gaps with hardware cloth and bamboo to also use it for the heat lamp and the uvb light bar and got some slate from the rock scraps at the rock place idk what it is called but much cheaper then pet stores and made caves and dug them out under the soils a little she made it bigger.

Hi I just wanted to say that the enclosure looks amazing i was wondering what brand of play sand and raised bed mix are you using because I've tried to make a substrate mixture and it doesn't look good so if possible would you be able to tell me what brand your using please?

I thought that it was going to be Uromastyx.Especially when I saw the way that the nesting box was designed.I really like Red and yellow saharen uromastyx.I also love the ornates but they are pretty expensive. The habitat would have been good for them and they are kind of similar to tortoise as far as their diet and they share their natural habitat with tortoise.
